I was worried they wouldn't follow suit like DmC with changes to game, and that DMC4:SE would just be DMC4+Vergil. Glad to see more costumes condering the complete lack of them in DMC4.
But, damnit capcom "Vergil is playable in any mission; Lady is only playable in Nero missions; Trish is only playable in Dante missions" so far that'smy only issue and it can be rectified in BP. Still kinda sad they didn't remove that Nero/Dante limitation. Hopefully it...
As much as I love to see all og MGS1 look like the shadow mosses in MGS4, or better. A full remake probably wouldn't work because of how much the gameplay would need to change.
Fei-hung I think your confusing DMC4 and DMC3 or at least combining them. So let me help you there.
DMC3 had:
1)less linear level design
2)ALOT of weapons and combos
3)the standard, at the time new, four styles + quicksilver, doppelganger, and (you forgot this one) Darkslayer (vergils)
4)great fludity animation
5)great bosses, some headscratchers though, and a proper boss rush.
DMC4 had:
1) Nero (boo!)
2...
@Dhampir
Your exaggerating the bad points far too much. The combo system has as much, if not more, than the previous games. If you feel this wrong please back up your claim of -no depth-. The regular game ran 30FPS, locked, on consoles and up to 120+FPS on PC apparently, but the definitive edition is 60FPS. Color coded enemies are removed and DT is halfway into the game not "until the final boss".
I don't mind if people, yourself included if you...
The gameplay mechanics were improved in DmC, arguably moreso than in DMC4. How? simple, The ability to on the fly switch weapons and styles while having all your weapons at your disposal is priceless.
Where DMC4 made style switching on the fly, DmC broke it down to triggers and added dodge buttons. One of the smaller additions that was added was the ability to continue combos with different weapons. How it works is:
Rebellion regular combo: triangle, triangle...
Wesker are you talking about remasterdd IPs in general, or about the definitive edition? Because definitive edition is what I expect most remastered IPs to be like. If your talking about the definitive edition, i'll pass along the changelog because they did alot for the port.
"Except DmC wasn't. It was restrictive, had 30 fps, and had about half the amount of combos DMC4 did."
How was it restrictive? It gave more freedom than the mentioned games. The 30FPS is now 60FPS, and it actually played very well for a H&S game at 30FPS. Also, I think your confusing "combos" and "moves" it probably has less moves. But it definitely has more combos. It was similar for DMC4, it had alot of moves from DMC3 but that little b...
True, but I somehow manged to scrape by plaing Gundam Battle Operation.
@LonDonE
Hopefully lag won't be too much of an issue... I notice while playing GBO, but it's never horrible or unplayable.
I can see why capcom isn't releasing in the west though. Their going to test the waters in a much more proven market, Japan/asian territories, for F2P games and see what the reception is. It's a smart business plan, but it sucks for no...
Has everyone forgotten that PS3/4s are not region locked? Just make a JPSN and download it. Plus seeing as how DD is a big game it'll most likely have fan translations incase it's all japanese.
If any game had potential to be "game of all time" or at least a defining game of this generation. I believe it'd be No Mans Sky, if they can pull that concept off successfully, which minecraft did, it'll be a game that everyone talks sbout for years to come.
@MRMagoo123
Marduk is Australian :p
I plan to get both because their both GOOD games. I like that NT fixed alot of popular issues DmC had in the way of combat. In DMC4 capcom is FINALLY acknowledging vergil and hopefully it fixes the plot hole that is nero.
Because all everyone is talking about is a F2P tekkren SMH. There hasn't any news regarding new games from bamco this year. Yup F2P fighters from bamco have just been everywhere.
Or maybe capcom is just milking people dry by releasing both games and already has plans to make either DmC/DMC5. Or hell, even both at the same time going forward
They have 4 or 5 dev dairies for that.
Look at the bright side their also re-releasing DMC4 which is a 7yo title =). Seriously though their probably re-releasing both to milk fanboys/casuals and build hype before they bring out some bigger news like DMC5?
-sigh- still I REALLY wish they had released the HD collection they teased when DMC4 was still PS3 exclusive. I could still pull up the video if need be. At least they could've added the HD skins in DMC4 because the game sorely lacked different costumes for D...
Ninja Theory, guys who made DmC, are working on Hellblade. Capcom as we all has also been busy even if re-releasing DMC4 seems kind of lazy.
This is great! Everyone who felt "betrayed" by capcom is going to be bending over backwards for them now =). I hope they bundle these games together and really milk fanboys of the series.
On a side note I wonder why their re-releasing DMC4? It was one of the worst story wise but hey maybe Vergil, my favorite character, fixes my years of resentment for DMC4.
It's free and it doesn't affect ranked matches
All i'm hoping is they don't make Nero Vergil's son. That's it, the timeline is weird as is.
