@BakaB
You do realize following that logic the list would look more like:
DMC1 ( first game )
DMC2
DMC3
DMC4
DmC
DmC and DMC4 would be tied for the same spot spot if it wasn't for Nero. So, on that note are you really ok with DMC2 being above DMC3 just to have DmC below DMC4 because of what they introduced to the series?
I don't mind when people call DMC2 bad, I do mind when fanboys like yourself completely ignore it's existence as if it brought nothing to the table, when as stated it brought forth alot of the mechanics that were later refined in DMC3 then copy and pasted to DMC4 (from DMC3).
You mean aside from almost all the gameplay mechanics found in 2? I could list all the things that 3 alone took from 2 and improved upon -hint-sytlebutton-hint-.
If you can say it's mediocre game then you should be able to admit that a lot of it was taken and improved in future games. Oddly enough the only thing the future games didn't take was the probably the best Dante design.
Oh, and before you comment again keep in mind the same team behind DMC...
Let me set the record straight on this, Platinum games and Capcom are separate entities for a reason. They did not part on good terms, and they are not on good terms even now.
Yes let's ignore 2 even though that's what alot of 3 and 4 are based off of.
Shes got dang beautiful now imo. Way better than her SFIV design!
Rather than a petition to cancel a game, why not make one to have a new metroid game? It seems backward to want a game cancelled rather than ask for a new mainline game instead. That way while this releases there would be a new game in development thanks to a petition asking for a new game.
For a second I thought your comment was mine :o. I normally use that Garl Vinland picture everywhere else lol.
I wasn't really into Dark Souls 3 in theory, and from seeing the artwork it's too similar to BloodBorne... The armor seems dark for no reason and the 3rd picture of the beast seems ripped straight from Bloodborne. The artstyle itself is just needlessly dark and again generally seems too similar too Bloodborne.
Hopefully it actually advances the combat mechanics of the previous games and isn't just a extremely small step like Dark Souls2 or just a different style a...
They have already mentioned in dev dairies that at most your fighting 3 v 1. So, the focus is to make each battle more personal. It's also not a enslaved, dmc, or heavenly sword style of combat.
Well for me it's kind of sad that Dark Souls is the closest we'll get to Demons Souls considering how much of a departure it's been form that atmosphere and setting.
I miss the castle, prison, mines, ruins, and swamps and each having their own lore/ruler; the more grounded pieces of armor ( can't beat the classic fluted armor ); and just the general theme of knights. I mean we still have knights in DaS, but the lore/theme for the knights is very different. <...
All this Dark Souls and bloodborne, but still no Demons souls 2 v_v. If there ever is a Demons souls2 though I don't want the atmosphere their currently using for DaS and BB since those games aren't as based around knights and castles.
I do expect too see it by PSX though, if not earlier like at gamescom.
This is one of my favorite underrated games. Seriously, I love the concepts the game is going to be built on and the fact it only needs to sell at least 200k to make a profit. Aside from that theres the fact that the music is also really good.
I highly recommend people check out the dev dairies and Q&As they did. Hopefully, Hellblade does well.
Another issue with the possibility of DMC5 is how much bad blood there is between capcom and the P* game staff. It's really really overlooked for some reason xD. I highly recommend looking at PS2 era news to see how ad the relationship is starting with godhand.
I just had the strangest idea, more like conspiracy theory though xD. If the unannounced game ends up being MGR2, what if Konami was actually thinking of replacing Kojima with Kamiya? -insert dramatic music-
That's a pretty insane suggestion, but if ends up happening i called it!
Those screens are more BB than DeS. Des isn't that dark, and the level design isn't that gothic either. DeS looks more medieval than any game after it, with a not so crazy armor design. The level design also reinforces this seeing as you go to mines, a castle, a prison tower, ruins, and a plague swamp. Each place has it's own design, and structure compared to the rest of the games.
DaS does come close though, however there's no place like the nexus.
Some mechanics DeS did do better, specifically the blocking. It seems like in DaS2 blocking/striking no longer has any weight behind it and is pretty outlandish overall.
It was great in Demons Souls, and their weren't alot of animations, but blocking and hitting someone who's blocking feels pretty good. I could go deep into what I think Demons does better but most of it is just nostalgia at this point.
If you just look at the mark on the loading screen you instantly notice the Beserk reference. It's not a secret Miyazaki himself is a Beserk fan. There's alot of references in DeS too.
Saying VR will never make an impact is a pretty dumb statement. Hundreds of years, or within a hundred years the face of gaming could easily drasticaly change. VR could be the standard and holo gaming could be the next big "gimmick" that people like you say will "never" have an impact
