To be fair Demons Souls is the closest to medieval not DaS1. In DeS you have Knights/dragons/witches in DaS it's sort of the same but add gods and different setting altogether.

I really hope this isn't DaSIII. I mean bloodborne has only been out for a few months and we're already getting a new game? Not just that, but it has the same art style and atmosphere as Bloodborne... I know alot of people like Fromsoft and Miyazaki, but at this point it's getting a letting out of hand with these Souls like games.

They've moved so far away from DeS as well with the craziness and lack of story. I get DeS was "vague", but at least the...

It's worth that the developers themselves didn't hype the game up. Infact they said that they really don't want too much hype. They don't really like all the attention because too much hype means that if it does bad in one area it'll be scrutinized heavily even if they themselves aren't the ones hyping it up.

What I expect:

No Last Guardian
SFV character reveal or demo
Uncharted collection
Bloodborne expansion
Price cut
30mins ot an hour of games getting attention
Hellblade demo
GT7 tease
GoWIV tease

thats about it for now.

Their greedy for giving people an incentive to pre-order the game? It's going to cost the same regardless of whether you buy it now or later.

Unless, what your trying to say is they shouldn't offer anything to anyone who pre-orders? Also, to quote the article on the performance pack: "To be fair, we don’t know what exactly the content includes and there is no guarantee it will actually get released."

@CBoath

I have tried them, but can't really get into them. At that point I was getting tired of the combat and lack of weapons. That and the repeating room in the chalice dungeons is kind of an issue.

@Blacklash

They could also have delayed the release to make sure it was a much fuller experience. Compared to Demons Souls Bloodborne just feels... empty. I know the world is larger, but it never truly feels like it and the dialogue you get...

I wouldn't have a problem with it myself if it wasn;t for the fact that Bloodborne had some pretty lackluster ending, sotry content, and just felt short overall for me... It really felt like almost all of the attention went to the chalice dungeons that i'll likely never play.

That, and the game is barely a month old and it's getting an expansion it's kinda messed up :/. Wish the game was longer.

Guy please take a second to look at the source.... They have no idea what their talking about. News at EVO is all but concrete it's the biggest fighting game event of the year, and Tekken 7 was confirmed to be there months ago.

Exactly, the only thing I know that's before DMC3 is the DMC3 manga. So maybe Vergil's timeline is during that? Though in the way of story it wouldn't mean much.

Now if he said before DMC4 then it'd make more since that'd make the DMC4 novel cannon.... Which I kinda don't want

So they plan on making the DMC3 manga cannon? That's the only thing I can think of that predates DMC.

Thank you someone who pays attention! Luckily the tournament organizer replayed the T28, or was it T8?, and only 1 match ended differently. That person is guaranteed a spt in the next capcom pro tour tournament. So, not much damage was done.

For those who didn't actually pay attention to the article or FGC news in general; This was a fault of the tournament hoster and they replayed T18 with only 1 match being different. The person who lost his matchup has been guaranteed a spot in another capcom pro tour tournament.

As for the wrong ver. well I don't have a 360, but what I took from it was they were playing on an updated disc ver. of USFIV. In other words it wasn't patched.

SFIV was not an arcade first game on release IIRC. However, in with later iterations Ono has tried to recapture the arcade scene and bring back the arcade first culture.

I was paying attention to the fighting game scene during the release of SFIV, so I wouldn't know what your options were if you owned the base product. Only what they were per re-release. But, what you said is inline with my point which is you get charged for the upgrade.

All i'm suggesting it be a flat basline price per upgrade. So, it look like this:

SFV $60
1yr later SSFV $15, x new characters, x new stages, x new costumes, etc.
2y...

3972d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

The problem with that is it's no longer viable to not add things to games. If capcom released SFV and don't add to it rest assured it will die and support from the FGC will dwindle. SFIV was only so successful because of it's milking.

Just take a look at SFIV and USFIV. What they should is not release these updates at $30-40 and instead make it $15 per upgrade.

I like the concept behind DMC2, alot of it actually trickled down to DMC3/4.

That was:

-dedicated action/dodge button

-different character stories (lucia had a separate story from dante, they never brought this back in it's entity)

-Enemy health bars

-twosome-timesome

-individual weapon upgrades (not abilities)

-custom DT (well different)

Oh and hands ...

Well in DmCs case it was probably more a Ninja Theory thing than a Capcom thing. But, guessing aside from a business standpoint they'd earn mor money from a digital release than physical since physical releases tend to mean printing discs which retailers sell. So they'd be paying for discs and for for retailers selling them new.

So when you say Capcom doesn't like money for doing physical releases, just keep in mind they profit more from digital.
