They switch it up every once in a while. In today's case, they said Gold.
Sorry. This sounds like a complicated and unnecessary group chat feature.
It would be much easier to plug a webcam up and talk.
It looks like they threw this as a feature just so people have something to do with their Kinect. It's just like a tech demo. The PS Eye actually had a tech demo with a bunch of random facial recognition stuff before it released.
Hell, I can invite my friends to my Cabin in Home to chat, dance and play mini-game...
They say sold. It's sold, right? Shipped/Sold? Does sold mean sold and shipped mean sold? Is that for one company? Not entirely sure anymore thanks to this community.
Anyway, I was guessing right between their goal and their actual number. If I were a corp business, I would tell people we're guessing lower than we're actually guessing to make it sound like we blew our expectations out of the water. I'd say it's a great technique cuz it works.
And CityVille has more users than FarmVille!
These casual games... so popular..... this is..... this is MADNESS!
Like a Pirate Ship?
No, jack, they're cars.
Yeah, he did.
"Doesn't that look great?! And you can grab your copy of Uncharted 3 when it hits stores... two years ago."
Fans: WHAT?!! *rushes to store*
Yeah, I'd say so.
NOTE: For those who missed it, Kaz said 5.5 million sold within the first two weeks, not up to right now. It's had a few more weeks since then.
@Aloren: For Japan it was. The rest of the world got it right after the holiday season.
About double that now, but around the same as GT5 during the same time.
I was one to quickly say I didn't care years ago, but the truth is, it matters. Whether you care about it or not is a personal subject between no one but you.
Graphics pull you in.
Gameplay makes you stay.
I agree. Although Sony mentioned that 3D has no place for the handheld market, I could see them going back on that either way, depending on whether it's worth the investment or not.
I applauded Nintendo for doing the no-glasses approach for the 3DS, but this turns their argument completely against them. Most journalists I heard from E3 mentioned that moving anywhere other than directly toward the 3DS screen would literally turn it from an enjoyable experience to a sickeni...
There goes Nintendo's argument.
It's true, but still possible:
Xbox was announced there. Nintendo's entrance into America was announced there with their system. Sega had a big gaming display there in the mid-90's.
Who knows. If Sony were to show anything at CES, it would be something for tech junkies and more. The PSP2 could be for them.
PS: Do you think they would name it the PlayStation Portable 2 (PSP2) or the PlayStation Go (PSG)? Making it more of a new Pla...
Kinda like i"followed by something" (iPod/Pad/Phone/Home), or "Kinect", or "Wii", or McDonald's making Mc"followed by something"?
Or DRIV3R? Or F3AR? Or "TruTV" instead of True? Or X-Play?
I agree. Luckily, none of that makes the channel/game/item less enjoyable.
Spot On.
Guys, I know... I own the freakin game. lol
I meant that - of all the games that get the praise within the PS3's lineup - one of the system's "underrated gems" was the one to sway him.
Unless you're not financially able to do so like I was for the past two years (finally got around to owning both this year)....
@below: Thank you. lol
My roommate was the exact same way. He sold his 360 for store credit and bought a PS3 last month. He said his three major reasons were SOCOM, MAG and free online (he got fed up with paying so much).
... I know.... MAG, of all games but hey, it's the kind of game that some can get into (he's Raven, I'm SVER). Me, him and some of our fraternity bros are waiting on SOCOM 4!
As for me, I had my switch way back when (after Halo 3). I currently own both...
Even better. haha
Compared to everyone but Sony and Nintendo I guess. 50 million on a sophmore console is impressive, but selling (and being the first to sell) 100 million on your first try? That's something on a whole different level. Needless to say (in case you misunderstood), I'd be proud of all three major companies.
It's more expected to become more of a success the second time around than the first and even third, fourth, etc. If anything, it's your fourth major platform...
