This place has always been a fanboy haven, which is fair enough, but even back in the 360 majority days, there just didn't seem to be the rage and the venom that we see with some members actions here: the way they have acted in the EA forums, the way some have rejoiced in some magazine closures with loads of people loosing their jobs.

This is the BEST way to ensure that you will have the most complete and BEST gaming experience there is.
You don't have to worry about timed exclusives, platform exclusives, which one looks the best.... just buy the best version of the game.

Look at what happened to the handheld market after ninty saw of the game gear and the lynx.... nothing happened. It took many years before ninty puled the finger out it's collective arse and released a color version. At the end of the day, both consoles have great games and we shouldn't be wasting our time trolling and flaming each other about sales and which console is better. Neither company is going out of business if they come 3rd. Both will do well.

I totally agree, taking away the physical disc and charging the same amount is ripping the gamers off.
Downloadable media should always cost less as the overheads for this media is far less than the physical copy.
But unfortunately, the still need retail to sell the consoles.
If say gamestop decides to drop, say the PS3, due to it's policy of putting digital distribution first, then the console will not sell as much.
There needs to be a compromise as I don't think either could survive without each other. I don't agree that the Publishers, after all that's who gets the most money from sales of games and as such will get revenue from used sales....
