I imagine that some of the stuff is expensive because they're collector's items, not because they're trying to rip you off.

I already know the Order is going to get bashed for being to scripted. Many review sites are going to hate on it for not being their version of the perfect game.

Hit the nail on the head. At the end of the day, Ubisoft's #1 concern is getting your $60. I can't think of a better statement to a company that we don't like what they're doing than by hitting them where it hurts most: in their wallets.
