Only the PS3 has a game with authenitic and historical battles during the times of fuedal Japan! Along with incredible innovations such as realtime weapons change, I know this is just the tip of the iceburg of whats to come from Sony! Eat that 360!
It's a shame the samurai warriors killed off all the giant enemy crabs. If they didn't make em extinct, we would still be eating all you can eat crab at Red Lobster! Damn those samurai warriors.
I'm sure Playstation fans will agree that Sony doesn't need to drop the price of the PS3 in order to compete with the 360 and Wii. With their great E3 presentation this year, I'm confident they know what they're doing.
Here's a summary of the Sony E3 presentation. I'm sure all Sony fans will be excited, inspired and awestruck.

No...seriously, this is a joke, right? If I were the publisher of Tekken, I wouldn't be releasing such crap...unless this is the best they could produce. In that case, I would be sharpening my ginzu knives (along with all the Sony execs) for a sepuku party after the PS3 launch.
At $59.99 and mixed reviews, "MLB 2K6" was out of the question. But at $39.99, Sega has hit my sweet spot. Best Buy, here I come.
If we see a price drop as early as 2007, you can bet Sony is acting out of a growing desperation to compete. Early adopters will easily grab the initial launch units, but we all know that the average consumer will respond to the $600+ price tag, and the lack of any really compelling technology to justify the cost, by walking away. Sure you can argue that the Blue Ray drive and HDMI support is enough reason to justify the price. But I'm talking about the AVERAGE consumer, who does not own a 60...
You can put me in the "no" category on whether I'll be buying a PS3 when Sony eventually drops the price.
Why? Two reasons: 1) Like most consumers, I have other interests outside of video games and don't have the the time or inclination to play video games with all of my free time. 2) By the time the PS3 drops $200 to $300 the next chapter in the next gen console wars will begin.
The true winner of the console wars won't be about who wins the 360/PS3/Wii battle but who will ultimately win the home entertainment market war. I doubt a clear cut winner will be crowned with this current crop of next gen consoles. However, one or two of the competitors will be damaged severely in five or six years.
Sony has been too slow to react to the new player in the console market. Sony was also weakened, if ever so slightly, by fending off the failed push by Sega and i...
...but after that review...not so much. A playable demo could convince me to buy it...or not. The "Blazing Angels" playable demo convinced me of the latter. If "Over G" was priced at $39.99 I would pick it up, but $60 for a not-so-next gen game is out of the question. Either way, I guess I'll save my money until "Chromehounds".
Even when things are good, consumers are always looking for more. More improvement, more games, more innovation, more community, more information, more accessibility, etc.
That's a totally normal desire. And I believe MS is up to the task. They have proven that they are listening to gamers and continually improving services, such as that latest XBL update.
With existing games like Fight Night Round 3, PGR3, GRAW, Oblivion, Call of Duty 3, I've been very busy. And with major game...
To "DOLBY": The not-so inside joke with gaming enthusiasts, analysts and professional writers was this year's, Sony E3 Press Conference. (For a hilarious video summary of the press conference, check out, "You Tube" at http://www.youtube.com/watc...
You'll understand the "giant enemy crabs" and "Riiidge Racerrr" joke after watching...
Poor, poor "gametime". A typical Sony fanboy response.
For the record, we already know that MS cannot really, "disrupt the ps3 launch". As you've most eloquently proven, Sony fanboys and early adopters will rush to buy the PS3's regardless of the price tag. The PS3 launch will be a "success" in terms of units being "sold out" at launch.
However, the real console war begins in 2007 when the general consumer is ready to decid...
When the PS3 is finally available, people will make real-world comparisons. Until then, it's all speculation.
I personally feel that aside from the higher 1080p resolution capability of the PS3 (which most American/European consumers will not be able to utilize), there will be no major noticeable difference between the two consoles...regarding graphics.
The games that will really shine will be the exclusive titles and first-party titles that take advantage of th...
...there will be plenty of ninjas and samurai's and martial artistic volleyball chicks with big boobs.
Plus, an exclusive for PS3...it'll available in 1080p for all the .00000095% of owners with HD sets that can actually accept 1080p! Woooo hooo!
"Yes...Ridge Racer"
Wow...a Japanese samurai fighter. Tremendously original. I'm sure it'll sell well in Japan.
I own a four-bedroom, two bathroom home. I only use my cave as a winter home.
I won't argue that a Gears of War bundle woundn't be sweet. We all know that GOW will be amazing and may actually surpass Halo 3 as the biggest selling release. And I'm well aware of that the release date for Halo 3 has an expected scheduled release in 2007. Howeever, I was just speculating on possible surprise releases that would definitely put a monkey wrench into the Sony launch.
Regardless, I'm sure MS has some very big surprises for this year's holiday season in order to ...
I'm sure there will be more than six million 360 units sold by November (that's why I wrote, "at least"). However, I don't necessarily take the word of the MS publicity machine as gospel either.
...then what will MS do to steal some of Sony's thunder?
How about a certain weak selling game franchise called "Halo 3"? I'm sure that strategically releasing the Halo 3 during the PS3 launch, along with a few other surprises will generate a huge amount of publicity. It won't affect the launch sales of the PS3, but MS's marketing/publicity strategy will definitley reduce the typical Sony overhype publicity machine and maintain the healthy sales of the 360 during the ...
...I'll save my 60 bucks! However, there is hope. Even horrible movies like, "The Chronicles of Riddick" were made into excellent video games, like, "The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butchers Bay". If the Superman Returns video game improves on the miscalculation of the movie, I will be pleasantly surprised.
