The 360 seems to just be hitting it's stride! I thought I achieved gaming nirvana with Gears and GRAW2, but upcoming games like Mass Effect, Bioshock, Forza2, and Halo3 are making me sweat with anticipation.
At this point, even Sony fanboys can't argue with the quality of games on the 360.
Ok...this trailer gets my vote for best trailer this year. In fact, it's the most innovative, most creepy, most visceral game trailer I have ever seen! Hope the game is as good as the promise of the trailer.
...no wait...that figure was adjusted to 400,000. Now it's under 200,000. I guess it's just business as usual for Sony to continue it's practice of misdirection, unrealized claims and out and out lies. And the fanboys keep eating it up with spoon. Dumbass fanboys.
...a retard. Your bad spelling and poor grammar are indicative of the typical fuzzy logic thought process of a PS3 fanboy.
If you want a more objective review of the 360 HD DVD drive, check out ign.com or google it.
"Are 360 owners safe?" I for one have had zero problems. So, the answer for me..."yes". Thanks for your concern.
...have not been put to a post than yours, Dusk. When fanboys start rating the 360 against the PS2, then the we are at the end of the Sony reign as the dominant console manufacturer/game developer. RIP, Playstation brand.
...is exactly what the PS3 console and it's launch lineup turned out to be. One very good exclusive game is all the PS3 has so far. What a terrific way to spend $700.
It may be too early to hear the fat lady sing but I definitely hear the orchestra warming up.
A 360 price cut is inevitable. A price cut, combo deal, enhanced console (with much desired larger harddrive) or all of the above will occur in late 2007. By that time, the 360 will have over 15-20 million units sold and an impressive lineup of games including Mass Effect and Halo 3.
In late 2007, the PS3 will only have a year under its belt. A price cut would be next to impossible. By the time Sony offers a price cut on the PS3, MS will already be working on the next console a...
...did show up. It's called the PS3 launch lineup. Now that's the real joke.
...along with a Samsung 42" Plasma from Amazon.com. HD...here I come!
...at least eight to ten years away for mass market acceptance. For now, the trend is still with physical media and HD DVD is the present. In a couple of years, Blueray will be thought of fondly as the Betamax of high def.
I've done my research and did some real world comparisons. HD DVD players perform better and are outselling Bluray by a significant margin.
My buddy at Best Buy in NY says that HD DVD players are flying off the shelves at a 3 to 1 margin over the Blueray. And the studios that are still hedging their bets on which format to adopt only need to look at consumer buying trends this year. The new standard will be HD DVD.
...how good the 40 person online multiplayer really holds up to real world play. When the connectivity problems start pouring in...Sony fanboys will be crying foul! "I paid $600 for this crap!?"
If Sony pooches the punt with their much vaunted Blueray player (and from early indications, they have), and continue to offer good (but not spectacular games), I'd be wishing them luck with a strong 3rd place finish. Oh wait...there are only three consoles in this generation. Oops.
...and laugh when Sony continues it's struggle for second place with Nintendo in 2012.
...however, I'll believe it when I see it. I'm sick of being dissappointed by false claims and rumors. With this bit of "news", Forza will only disappoint if it doesn't achieve a consistent 60fps come 2007. But I'll be most impressed if they do achieve it without sacrificing features or polygons.
I've also boycotted most EA games except for Fight Night: Round 3. After being burned by online difficulties on games like Battlefield 2, and Fight Night: Round 2 (for Xbox) , I've given up on EA servers.
If you rarely play multiplayer online, you have no worries. EA does publishes good games. It's their damned insistence of hosting their own servers through Xbox Live thats to blame for their troubles. I don't blame the game developers. I place the blame squarely on EA for thei...
The face mapping sample pics look amazing. I can't wait to give it a try on Rainbow.
I already own the Vision camera and it works better than I expected...with vivid clean video running at about 30fps. If all games utilize the Vision camera, we're in for a treat.
I'm having more fun with the 360 than I've had with any of the previous consoles. If there's a drawback to the 360, it's that there are too many things to do. Aside from the amazing games, both single a...
...BUT Mass Effect looks so good, I'm buyin this bad boy on day one! I mean, the graphics/animation look so groundbreaking that I would use it as THE example of what a next gen console can do. Now, if the gameplay is as revolutionary/evolutionary as the graphics, I might change my mind about rpg's. Fingers crossed.
I can't believe I'm actually anticipating this game as much as Rainbow Six or Splinter Cell or Gears of War or...dare I say it...Halo 3!
Do I need one? No. Do I want one? Hell Yeah!
I'm feeling altruistic. Maybe I'll donate my premium 360 to some poor pathetic Sony fanboy waiting hopelessly for the PS3 price drop below $400.
