I think the main problem is that they're making games look visually stunning but mechanically unpolished. Nailing the gameplay to be near perfect is difficult but I feel like Indies put more polish into their games than your typical Chinese devs atm.

I genuinely don't know anyone who just browses through any of the storefronts for Nintendo, Sony, MS or PC just randomly looking for something to play when they can find something far quicker with a Google search.

Also use the Curator system...

Largely speaking because Sony already tried this. Also I really wouldn't have any confidence in purchasing and Nintendo made phone.

@Razzer

Yeah but the data and breakdown is worthless so he's getting all riled up over something that doesn't matter in the slightest.

Its still in second place and it depends on which gen you consoder the Switch. Technically Wii U is in 3rd place and Switch is in first place for next gen.

You'd need atleast 1000 per state for it to be considered somewhat reliable.

Lol I'm outside th realm of existence.

I understand what you mean and agree that it is actually interesting but I don't think there's much value in this data. I'd say similar if you compared the breakdown of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland in that it's interesting but mostly useless information.

"Because Steam have enjoyed SOO much dominance due to the companies that have tried to join the PC platform game like Windows, Ubisoft and shizz but they were all trash and Steam didn't make any real improvements between them"

That's a flat out lie because Steam has had numerous improvements over the years since those rival services were introduced. Off the top of my head I can name the Steam Workshops, review system, Curator Program, numerous Library orga...

"Metro even sold for 10$ less on the epic store for this same reason. I'd say competition is pro consumer."

This is not entirely true. In the UK the price went up and Ashen on EGS is more expensive than it is on the Xbox. So where are these savings again?

Also EPIC have had numerous instances where they've basically lied like with their refund policy being "No questions asked" but then demanding tons of information like IP addr...

"Now that another company has entered the fold in a big way, stealing games that were previously exclusive to Steam, people are up in arms even though Epic provides a much butter revenue split for developers."

That analysis is a bit slanted. If Epic offer such a good deal then they shouldn't need to be bribing developers should they? Also no ones angry about the games not being exclusive to Steam but that we can't buy them on whichever client we want. No o...

Yeah this is getting out of hand now and Epic is just buying everything in sight. This is not real competition and if you were against TR being an Xbox exclusive you should be against this too. I was willing to give EGS the benefit of the doubt and had bought Ashen and Hades on there but now its gone too far.

I'm uninstalling the client to protest this.

How on earth is Steam responsible for Epic paying for timed exclusivity?

More people get to enjoy bad storytelling I guess.

I may check it out. Depends on how much of my time Shovel Knight: Showdown takes up.

Why are people disagreeing? Vasto is right because the list in the article specifically says January.

It's been rumored for months. Such a good game and I have no doubts this game can achieve 2+ mil on the Switch and the devs deserve all the success they can get.

2524d ago 12 agree3 disagreeView comment

Personally I'd say this isn't the best addition to the service but you can't get everything you want every month so it is what it is. What Remains of Edith Finch is all I'm really interested in but I still have a bunch of achievement hunting to do so that'll keep me occupied.

If you haven't played Mankind divided though its definitely a good month.

Good boi Jimmy. No swearing in the internet while mommy is watching over you

You understand that this article exists because 343i said they want to know what features people want for the PC version? There are legitimate features that are missing from console versions of games that make a PC version less appealing like an FoV slider and numerous visual options.

Requesting 343i (a huge AAA studio with strong financial backing) include standard PC game features is not entitled.

"The individual spoke about indigenous gaming giants which you then decided to refute by pointing to apple's telecommunications market share?"

He actually didn't limit his claim to gaming and gave an analogy for car manufacturers. He was basically claiming that Japan's support of indigenous industries went beyond gaming which makes smartphones a valid analogy. Especially so when we're talking about a streaming service which will be present on those...
