If I buy it, I'm gonna play it. I played the shit out of the Wii, why wouldn't I play the Wii U?
Modern Warfare 2/3, Black Ops 1, three of the biggest CoD releases didn't come out on the Wii. The only CoD games that came out were 3, a dumbed-down version of 4, and WaW.
And considering the general consensus is that there is no true "hardcore" base for Nintendo consoles.
I might take a look at this, considering I don't really like CoD, but I'd rather Splinter Cell: Blacklist or Watch Dogs get announced for Wii U.
There's your CoD boys and girls.
Nintendo's finally gotten third party support.
Ugh...the author of the article should know three things.
Never get involved in a land war in Asia, never go against a Sicilian when death is on the line, and never link to 4chan threads.
I'd buy it if I didn't already own it.
Well, after I saw some previews saying how the WiiPad alters the gameplay for better or worse.
Can I start posting rumors on how supposedly the Wii U is stronger than the Nokia cellphone?
Or how it's not as strong as a PC 20 years from now?
Cause these are seriously getting ridiculous.
I'd be cautious with that. Unless they completely retooled it, it still should be a terrible game.
8GBs of memory?
Oh dear, I'll never be able to add all games and demos and what not onto it...
Oh wait, I have a terabyte harddrive. I'm cool with it.
@Machioto
Resident Evil 4 was not a port. It was a Gamecube exclusive until Capcom ported it to the PS2, which in turn became the lesser version.
You're entitled to your opinion, but when the next-gen of Sony/Microsoft come out, will you say the same thing for God of War, Gears of War, Halo, Call of Duty (Especially Call of Duty), and others?
In what way do fancier graphics help enhance the experience of button-mashing in God of War? Does it add more blood in Gears? Does it make multiplayer in Halo and Call of Duty more fun?
If gamers could get one universal system (maybe the PC) that would run eve...
As a Nintendo fan, I have to agree. They milk him every chance they get.
But you know the old saying right? If it works, don't fix it.
Well, they're selling the 3DS at a loss right now, which they don't want to do, but I could definitely see them selling the Wii U between $250 and $300. Which a cheaper system, when Microsoft and Sony do launch their consoles, it might give Nintendo a slight edge on the purchasing market, if they can continue strong third party support (or even get it past the launch window).
I specifically remember two games that were Nintendo-first exclusives that moved onto other systems.
Resident Evil 4 and Viewtiful Joe.
I hope ZombiU continues that trend that a good game debuts on Nintendo and then goes on to other consoles.
I don't see any reason why it shouldn't unless it's a poor game. If it's good, I would rather everyone have the chance to play it then the group who went out and bought a Wii U.
@DWeezy91
It's more of an immersion tactic.
Let's compare this to two games (technically a game and a mod): Resident Evil 4 and DayZ.
In Resident Evil 4, you could pause the game to open your item case, use your herbs, switch weapons, etc. It was useful, but it put a real hiccup in game play. There's no way, in reality, I'm going to switch between an assault rifle and a shotgun so seamlessly, and neither would my enemies stop ...
To their defense, the devs didn't have much to work with on the Wii. We all know that. But it's not too late, they could bring it over or port it. The article is too unclear without any actual evidence to be believable, but I still hold hope because I like what I saw from the game.
Watch Dogs has been confirmed for PC, 360, PS3. Yet it's still in consideration for a Wii U release. Just because they trailer says it doesn't mean it won't happen. It just means it's not happening as of the time of the trailer airing.
Most of the real Nintendo fans would play this. I know I would.
The casual market won't, they'll get scared that the game is nothing but torture porn.
Not to mention that Ubi never counted out Watch_Dogs on the WiiU. Which...I don't know...could be awesome.
Just because the launch games won't run at 1080p doesn't mean the system can't handle it.
Jesus, one boring conference and everything becomes doom and gloom for Nintendo. Just calm down and wait for it to come out.
Don't know about better, but it'll be interesting to see how devs use the WiiPad to differentiate the Wii U version as compared to the PS3/360 version.
