I'm not a big fan of realistic racing sims, but this looks pretty awesome.
Totally considering signing up as a Junior member on their site to get the monthly builds.
Because they're filthy stinking rich, with like $80 bil in the bank.
The real question is your second one; why would MS ever sell back Rare?
Sweet God...if there was a reboot of the Jet Force Gemini series on the Wii U...
My wallet can't hold all these purchases...
Step 1. Get Rare back from Microsoft.
Step 2. Rebuild the team.
Step 3. Have them create a new Banjo-Kazooie game/Donkey Kong 64 sequel.
Step 4. ???
Step 5. PROFIT! OH MY GOD THE PROFIT!
With this and the supposed Rare game that was pulled from E3, and possibly other Nintendo games, could be a very good launch.
There's supposed to be a big announcement either in late August or early Fall.
Too bad it can't play GC games. I'd love to sit on my coach and play Wind Waker or Metroid Prime on the Wii U Pad.
You won't beat Xbox Live unless you have a subscription fee and use that extra cash to get better infrastructure and the like.
If it's as good as PSN, or even a tad worse, I'll be happy. Nothing can compare to the horror that was the Wii's online capabilities.
Ummm...cool, I guess?
It seems that this dev hasn't really made anything as of yet, but it could be another High Voltage/The Conduit situation.
I kept waiting to throw my money at Nintendo to have DK64 on the Virtual Console, and was SO excited for Retro's DKCR.
If Camelot is allowed to make a DK64 sequel, I will throw my bank account at them.
Of course they can't get the same reaction from you by any of their new games as Mario 64 did. You were most likely a kid, and experiencing a classic like that is usually a once in a console generation experience. If you keep thinking "This game is gonna top what Mario 64 did for me," you're going to be disappointed.
If I did the same thing with Ocarina of Time, I'd hate the Zelda series. It's unfair to compare games to classic games from yesteryear,...
I hope this is not anything like the site Brawl had back in the day.
I feel as if the game was somewhat ruined for me, seeing as how I didn't get to see all the new things for myself, and knowing half of what to expect.
Resi 4 is, at the moment, my favorite game of all time, unseating The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina.
It may not be like the old Resident Evil games, but for what it is, it truly is a great game.
There's a beta map available, but with the release of the full map, things might be different.
If a game is good enough, and develops a userbase willing to pay through microtransactions, then a game should be able to survive as a F2P.
However, it takes a while to build up that kind of hardcore userbase who's willing to pay $5 here, $15 there, $10 every now and then. TF2 has a good model, but Valve had the benefit of having it be P2P for years.
I think that's just indigestion.
That's in the boat I'm in right now.
I have neither the time nor the funds to justify buying items off the RMAH. I've spent a total of $20 and it came back to bite me in the ass, so there's a no-go there.
It's just saddening to know that I won't be able to get past Act II Inferno (the part I'm currently stuck at) because I'm not willing to throw more money at this game then I already have. If the drop rate for actual good gear ...
Highly doubtful, but still.
If devs can prove that they are making the CoD, or any other multiplat, as good or better on the Wii U, it might change the hardcore Nintendo fans mind, but I doubt it will change the minds of people who don't own Nintendo consoles.
The new patch and RMAH hasn't fixed a damn thing.
I've spent every last bit of gold, and even a few actual dollars, trying to get good gear for my DH. I've got ~500 to all resists, do ~24-25k DPS (nowhere near the amount necessary, apparently), and 50k HP. Yet as soon as I enter Act II of Inferno, I get my shit absolutely rocked.
Blizzard isn't releasing patches to make the game easier to beat, they're simply toning down the difficulty a t...
I think the whole thing about the Wii U being the next-gen equivalent to the PS2 back in the day is crucial to the success of the system, especially when it comes to the "hardcore" gaming community.
When it was PS2 > GC >= Xbox, hardcore gamers could still flock to the PS2 and get a similar, if not even better, gaming experience (PS2 is, in my opinion, 1b when it comes to best consoles).
If it's anything like Wii >>>>>>&g...
