I know that I will be picking up a couple of GeForce GTX 280s myself today. Should be some fun times.
My thoughts exactly. :) Vince has some crazy overclocking skills for sure.
This is great news for sure! :)
As they always do... vendors like EVGA, BFG Tech and others will be coming out with overclocked versions. If this launch follows those which have come previously, in 3-4 weeks the overclocked cards will be out in the wild.
That is very true. However, I know quite a few people that are disappointed with the performance they have received so far. Mostly because their hardware allows them to play all of there other games at high res. I suppose they suspect that because they only own 24" or 30" monitors that they should be able to play all games with setting maxed.
Honestly...I think it is ridiculous that this game should require such crazy hardware to play with a solid FPS. Is this game really ahead of it's time or is it just bad programming? That is the question.
Dang... I really thought be people would find this news more interesting.
Although I'm sure early adopters will probaby have to pay that premium price, NVIDIA will have drop the prices fairly quickly considering ATI's offering is coming out the same week for much cheaper.
Well it is suppose to be faster than the GeForce 9800 GX2 so we can only hope.
Really the whole thing makes me sick. Was the committee that chose Jack Thompson having a hard time finding great Americans? I really doubt it. It just goes to show you how ignorant some people are.
Jack Thompson should not even be in the same sentence as the Vietnam veteran. :(
That's exactly what I have been thinking. Why is this man receiving an award of all things? :/
If anyone is having issues reaching the website this morning just know that google is having issues. Thanks.
I apologize if anyone is having trouble getting to the website. Google is having issues this morning. ;)
Better get back to it! :)
And who can possibly forget the motorcycles and night driving which will also be added in an update this fall.
Also Burnout Paradise for the PC should be coming out sometime soon as well(according to Criterion's Website). I always wanted to play Burnout on the PC. :)
No kidding. Criterion is giving this game the royal treatment that it deserves. How I wish all devs would take the time to update their games like this (not just fixes but new content as well).
I wonder what new music tracks will be included with this update.
I'm so excited for this update! If you read through the list of changes I'm sure you will agree that it is rather impressive. :)
It is extremely nice to see Criterion Games show continued pampering and love for their product.
I agree. I have been feeling that way since installation that it is a step in the right direction. The fact that I don't have to be connected to the internet to play is an extremely good thing.
Really as a developer it must be an interesting situation to be in. On the one hand you want to protect the product that you have worked so hard on, and on the other you don't want to piss off your customers. When the first form of security was announced for Mass Effect I think it wo...
I would prefer playing this game with a mouse and keyboard for greater accuracy, but I will be picking it up for the Xbox 360.
