It would be extremely nice if other dev teams would take note and not charge.
Being a PC Gamer as well it has been really nice lately with the map pack for COD4 being free and also "Bring Down the Sky" for Mass Effect being free.
Yes it should have trophies and it is being released in September. From the sound of things it's looking like early September.
Talk about a dev team loving their game and their fans. :)
It has been a fantastic motherboard! Never had such a stable overclocking motherboard. Also the BIOS have really matured. I would recommend the board to any friend without hesitation.
I really think Charlie is trying to make something huge out of something small. If you read the previous article he wrote on the 31st you would know that this seems rather ridiculous. In that article he made this big deal about Foxconn, Gigabyte, and DFI not bringing nForce 790i mobos to the market. The thing that is not being talked about in these articles is that the sales of the recent NVIDIA chipsets have been really good.
To make a long story short I really just this th...
Well, no one who wins the contest will be receiving cash. Only tech related prizes like new computers, CPUs, motherboards, and video cards.
I would have expected the PC Gaming community to have shown more support for this event by now, especially considering how many gamers love EVGA.
Unfortunately tool-less cases often make it harder if you have many cards connected to your motherboard in my experience. Instead of making life easier in some ways it just make things more difficult. I prefer just using standard screws.
I think onboard audio has gotten better over time. There is something special though about using the CMSS-3D, Crystalizer, and Bass Boost features with this card. It certainly makes the games much more immersive in my opinion.
The sound quality is fantastic. I highly recommend investing the $139.99 for this part.
It was too late by then it wouldn't let me edit. The first comment was made 6 hours before. :)
Thought more people would have been interested in this news.
Ghostbusters better than Crysis? WTF? LOL!
Hopefully the game will be prove to be awesome.
It doesn't seem like it would be that hard for ATI or NVIDIA to provide a solution. It would be pretty sweet if they did. Maybe this is something we will see in the future. It's kinda tough though when the GPU is already part of the motherboard.
Yes, that certainly is true. You could get more horsepower with desktop components and it would be cheaper. However, if you need to play come COD4: MW or WoW on the go this might be a good option. Building a laptop yourself will save you a few hundred dollars (if not more) compared to buying from Dell or whoever.
One obvious downfall of OCZ DIY Gaming Notebook is the fact that you can't upgrade the GPU. Still for mobile gaming a GeForce 8600 GT isn't so bad.
In the next few days I will publish a new article containing pictures, my personal experience with the install, and my overall review of the product
For NVIDIA's sake, hopefully they will still be the performance champion. Although it really seems lately that ATI has gotten their act together (Radeon 4870 X2). Needless to say, it's great to be a consumer during a price war.
In a month it will be time to say good bye to these Geforce GTX 280 video cards.
Can you say Step-up or Trade Up?
Words just don't decribe how awesome Rebel Assault was when it was released. Talk about fun times.
