I saw pictures, everyone. New Ryu has bangs and suspenders.
But that doesn't matter because you play as Raiden.
And it's an MMO.
Based on the demo, that's five points higher than this game deserves.
I think that new Dante looks cool. I'm not a fan of his white shirt, or how skinny he is, but based on the trailer he's a total bad-ass. I think something about him smoking is strangely cool. (And I don't support smoking)
I've never had a Gold subscription. My brother did, but I never wanted to pay for it. I just used the free 48 hour trials that came with some of my games to play online. I think it's asinine that Microsoft can get away with charging us for online play. The price of games and accessories is ridiculous already; the last thing we need is to pay for online play.
I tried the demo, and the game was fun. I can see it getting repetitive, but the platforming was fun and the combat was solid.
The voice acting, however, was pitiful.
I'm not a Devil May Cry fan, so I can't speak for those guys, but I don't mind a redesign. The problem is that if you're going to redesign an iconic character (or any character, really), you should make him better than the original.
I liked the gameplay. The controls felt solid and the platforming was fun. It definitely reminded me of Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank.
The voice acting was great, but, as is to be expected from an Unreal Engine game, the graphics were somewhat poor. The textures weren't great and when Monkey punched that wall while asking that guy where his stuff was, it was almost like his punch didn't even connect. There was no damage or sound effect. Did anyone else notice that? ...
What's up with all these dumb website names? Fans of Sonic are just going to say "well you're called Brutal Gamer, so no wonder it got a low score!"
"...the transformation from juvenile silliness to somber realism was a big step toward convincing the mainstream that, yes, games can be serious art"
Wait, you're talking about GTA4?
The game doesn't deserve the scores it's getting, but it doesn't deserve this either. I'd say it deserves an 8/10.
This guy's spelling/writing wasn't that great, though, so he's clearly not a professional.
The gameplay looked cool, and I loved the setting, but the main character's voice didn't seem right. Maybe it was the voice itself, maybe it was the writing, or maybe it was his timing, but something was off about it.
And those Alphas are straight up dumb.
Yes please.
Who could've believed this? Their heads are huge! They look like Bratz dolls.
Is it just me, or does this look horrible? It's following in the shadow of games like Halo 2600 and the Left 4 Dead demake, both of which were creative and fun. But this one is just a survival mode. The graphics look ugly (and totally not 8-bit) and they couldn't even make the effort to make an 8-bit logo. All they did was pixelate the actual logo.
I think it's both. The author doesn't know good games but the site put it up anyway for hits.
If these are the best games on the 360, then I might just sell mine.
Except that they're not. This list is trash. Pure flamebait.
I wouldn't call that a "jab", seeing as it's true. I'm not complaining, because I like shooters, but if you look at the 360's biggest games (Gears of War, Halo, Left 4 Dead), I think you'll see a pattern.
Looks good, but those screenshots don't show off anything new.
I like him better, actually. He's always been sort of emo, so I don't get the complaints.
I just don't get why this series needs a reboot.
Not by a long shot.
