I think the franchise needs to be put to rest... It's seen some great light of its time, but now just isn't it. Probably doesn't help that Natal is around the corner. Microsoft shoulda let him in on that biz...
I'm curious, what is the difference between The Secret of Monkey Island and Tales of Monkey Island? Is it a completely different story or just a graphics upgrade?
It's pretty interesting, I've only played the Lust demo thus far which wasn't anything special for me. But this new one looks decent, I'll have to watch for it on 360 in a few weeks! Guess it's my early Xmas gift from EA.

It's the International Edition so we're all getting the new version simultaneously on February 2nd, 2010! When I played it this week, it had the European languages like French and Spanish included as an option.
Could be good and bad though... Sharing servers might make it difficult to provide fun teamwork on a quest if no one speaks the same language. :/
Yeah I agree, the genre has hope once again, but we'll see how they stand when they launch. I've gotten my hopes up many times this gen to be crushed time and time again. This is just the gen of Western RPGs for the first time in a while.
I hope people get it too! The online seems interesting, especially the built-in social networking tools. Even if it isn't done PERFECTLY, it could be the basis for something new in the future of gaming to have that built into games.

Roflmao @ the 2hype pic. I think the industry can go for some more innovation, keep it under wraps, and reveal that it's coming only 1-2 months before launch. That's how you control hype, not release a sentence crap dropping of detail once a month for 3 years, at that point I don't even want to hear about it anymore. That's how Square-Enix successfully DE-hypes me on their games, at least.
