Well it's a social version of Harvest Moon in a way. It looks lame and lame people play but, it's Harvest Moon only people can interact with your farm or care for it while your away. It's just scary that it is real time which is why so many lives got sucked into it...
The art looks hella interesting, that's the one thing that makes it appeal most, but $15 is always a steep tag for XBLA games to me...
So weird, you point out a lot of it's flaws but they're so worth overlooking that it's 9 material. I'm interested in the characters/plot though a lot from hearing you talk about it all week so I picked it up! I'm really excited, I probably would have passed it by otherwise.
Seems worth getting into with a group since the story isn't too important. Kind of reminds me of a Borderlands-type experience but without the RPG elements, of course. And those omega-nubular-9000-sized enemies, which seems hella sweet.
I really like the enemy designs too of Dementium, they are definitely on par with those of uniqueness of the Silent Hill series, which says a lot, since uniqueness is harder to find these days. I def agree that it's not a BAD thing to not be 20.543 hours either on the DS because the time you spend seems longer than on consoles, so a 5-ish hour creepster romp on the DS might be worth it. :D
I think I have to agree most with point #3 - "Implementations would have to be made, yet no one would want them." Fans indeed whine and moan that it is the most deserving because it has the largest fanbase but even the first and foremost thing -- the visuals -- would annoy them. Most of the "hardcore" or "true" fans, whatever they call themselves, stick to their guns saying that the movie they released, Advent Children, was terrible, didn't hold up to the sou...
Not everyone has the detective skills to uh... feed a cat. Re-do your review when you gain those skills m'lady! XD
God damn it, I had zero interest at first and slowly I am coming around with every review I see of it...
The Dragon Age books are great -- I'm glad to hear that the Mass Effect ones are worth my time as well! I'm going to definitely be picking those up over the summer. n_n
LUCHA LIBRE! I'm in.
I've been hearing a lot that the sequel is actually going to make up for lost ground the first one made in suckage...
Including a negative point scale system, of course.
Lmao maybe Dave was just so good at the demo that when he was blown up he didn't fall back in the group. Ridin' in style with a sizzled Einstein fro.
You have such a great voice in all of your reviews. It's strange they'd change from one focus to another midway through, just a waste of a gorgeous world that I want to see more of. The combat didn't seem too enjoyable to begin with, do you think it'd benefit from a combat-less sequel of some sort?
Good times man. It's one of those tough topics that there are so many faces to the topic that it's hard to finalize if it's good or bad. It's useful, in the very least, but flawed because some sites are easily able to abuse it, and consistently do so for attention.
Most games going from 2D to 3D really suffer. This sucks...
Obese lizards... *_* I want to buy it now just for the obese lizards. Mr. Kenny has turned me on to the ways of obese animals...
Dragon Age needed a voice. It definitely hurt it. I mean, if you come out of playing Mass Effect where it's a similar game concept by the same developers, it definitely just simply felt lazy to not have voiceovers for your character when there were literally thousands upon thousands of voiced lines by NPCs and team mates throughout the game, why not you?
As for games like Zelda, I don't really care if Link speaks or not. Because simply put, the story isn't "d...
I'm a fiend for this stuff. I have especially found an interest in the comic tie-ins of late.
Every time I read another thing about FFVI I get a little more crazier about not having experienced the story and characters. I agree a remake in that stead of art direction would be god-flipping-amazing and I guess a possibility is still out there somewhat. I keep leaning towards nabbing the GBA version cause I want portableness, but a remake would be omega Yum.
