I'd compare it to a Veyron or a Zonda. :)

At the end of the day, I was happy when I played the PS3 demo. Sure, the frame rate changes annoyed me, as did the screen tearing, but I had fun playing the game. I for one didn't see any "washed out" visuals, infact, the game looked pretty good, I saw no differences. Will I take what LOT say as being thruthful? no, because I saw what I saw; and at the end of the day, if I'm satisfied that the PS3 version looks as good, then its ok.

Also, as I mentioned in a...

We had an HMV open up in my town recently, and I went to have a look the other day and found a tiny selection of films and games (granted the shop was small) but everything there was more expensive than at Asda or Amazon, so why pay more?

Well seeing as how there are more console orientated gamers, like myself, I wouldn't want a game that was neglected for the PC version.

Whilst I can appreciate that gaming PCs are ahead of consoles, I think you can understand that console versions need just as much attention. Like I said before, Dice are good devs, so they'll probably make all versions look great and play well.

On the subject of Mass Effect 2, just thought I'd share something I found on the Bioware forums about the demo:

"I just sent a PM to Chris Priestly who is Bioware's Community Coordinator and told him about the technical issues in the demo. His response and I quote;

'Demos are rarely the finished quality of a game as they are made months before the release.' "

-The ability to mod cars
-Better handling vehicles
-More vehicle damage i.e. wheels coming off.
-Planes/jets
-A free mode where you can actually do everything you can in the single player, something that you can't do in GTAIV.
-Parachuting (without buying dlc)
-Undead nightmare mode (like someone else suggested)
-More accessible buildings where you can run in (in alot you can't)
-Better character control, think Uncharted....

I'm hoping that someone scans the review and posts it on the internet, because I haven't bought a GM mag in years.

Aslong as the console versions aren't neglected then I don't mind, but I trust Dice to make a good polished game.

I'm just hoping Dice sort the problem out with a patch or something.

I'm more concerned with my missing stats and weapons. I decided to play the game last night, downloaded the 1.7GB patch and discovered all my unlocks and stats had gone. =/

Fortunatly the intro cutscene was only there for the demo, it'll be replaced with the comic, it was just designed to run PS3 gamers up to speed with the Mass Effect universe (assuming they haven't played the first game).

Anyways I'm just hoping the screen tearing and frame rate changes are corrected in the retail, because on the visual side, I don't see how the PS3 is inferior, the demo looks great.

3 people disagreed that you think they disagreed with the fact that he got a PS3. I agreed.

Its good that you can choose for all audiences; personally, my femshep in the first game was straight and there was some chemistry between her and Kaiden, however in ME2 I'll make her have a bit of a romance with Jacob.

I've toyed with the idea of making her romance Garrus, but I think they should remain as friends, but hey, the great thing about this game is that you can do whatever.

I've played the demo a few times and I can honestly say I didn't see any washed out visuals that have been shown in those pictures.

Maybe the graphics aren't as good in the demo, maybe they'll be better in the full game? I don't know, but what I do know is that the game looks great on my TV, so it makes me suspicious of sites like LOT that try and tell me otherwise.

In terms of performance, I did notice screen tearing and frequent frame ra...

I find it funny that guns are legal in America, yet video games are blamed for violence.

A little off topic, but The Cradle of Life is on BBC1 tonight (the TR movie sequel) if anyone is interested, although I enjoyed it, the first film is better, Iain Glen was so awesome as the bad guy.

Back on topic, the game has some great visuals, although I will miss the late PS2/early PS3 Lara.

I stopped reading at "Heavy Rain was nothing more than a glorified tech demo".
