Well to each his own but to me Level-5 and Studio Ghibli are two companies that knows what their doing. So I know I won't be disappointed with this collaboration and it helps to know what your getting into.
Yup I know that's why I hope they extend the offer to PSP games as well. :)
They could also allow 3rd party publishers like XSeed to localize for them. I think that would be less expensive for the developer. ^^
LOL! Bro you should have explained everything earlier. That would have given you less grief with the others commenting on your opinion.
Clarity makes for less misunderstanding.
Bamco you need to localize more Tales for your English speaking market.
I wish they would offer discounted/free PSP titles for the Vita with Plus or they could use it with this promo as well.
We buy our dedicated handheld gaming device because of the games specifically made for those devices, that gives us a unique experience on the go.
We do not buy them because they are hyped or fashionable. Which is in truth the main reason people keeps buying a new smartphone or tablet every new iteration.
Oh I totally agree with you regarding the situation of the Vita in Japan. That definitely needs to change.
More games are being developed for the PSP rather than the Vita. Sony maybe needs to put out some incentives to have those developers start making games on the newer device.
Multiplatform or exclusive. The Vita needs more Japanese games. That is what made the PSP successful and it should be repeated with the Vita.
Like I said on my othe...
@air1,
You should try Gravity Rush if you haven't yet. Its the best 1st party game for the Vita at the moment. That is original and not a spin off.
Its not a platformer though. Its closer to a sandbox/RPG. I think ^^
Actually if you guys read the article its not a doom and gloom one at all. The only thing that the analyst say Sony should follow Ninty on, is regarding the price drop on the Vita. Which will happen eventually.
The article gives a valid point on the expensive memory cards too. That definitely needs a price cut.
Overall the outlook for the Vita is bright and positive in this article.
The Vita needs Japan. Currently there are more games being made and released on the PSP than on the Vita in the Land of the Rising Sun.
Sony should probably come out and stop supporting the PSP and create some incentives to get 3rd party developers put their games on the Vita.
The price will eventually go down, hopefully they permanently stick a memory card with every Vita but getting the games on the system is the key to its success.

VGChartz numbers are SOLD to consumer estimates. The 70 million was official SHIPPED numbers by Sony to retailers. So that 70 million number will not reflect in VGChartz total.
However, the one I do not understand is why the PS3 & Vita totals of VGchartz does not reflect the official announcement numbers given by Sony for the week.
Doom and gloom articles has been a common theme these days. Its sad really, its like some people wants the industry to fail with all the negativity.
I agree, this type of question is premature to say the least.
The console hasn't even been out for over a month.
^ Was the numbers given by Sony SHIPPED? I thought it was like with MS and Ninty's announcement which were both SOLD to consumers?
Because the numbers announced by MS and Ninty clearly reflects in VGChartz numbers.
This needs to be clarified.
@GribbleGrunger
Bro, VGChartz can't even make their adjustments right. As you can see their update is not in line with the announcement.
@BitbyDeath
VGChartz makes estimates on consoles SOLD to consumers. Their numbers does not reflect the official SHIPPED numbers which is sold to retailers. So there will be a difference.
The bundle also comes with a 4GB memory card. Which I think should be standard for all Vita purchase.
So players can start with something and just upgrade to a bigger card when they want to.
They better make a sequel. Kat and the gang needs a better and conclusive ending. :)
Uncharted: GA and Gravity Rush should be on that list.
Pachter must have a crusade against Ninty he keeps bringing the Big N down. Ain't all the doom and gloom stuff from the so-called gaming journalist bad enough?
