Well this was to be expected. Sony didn't show all their cards but at least they can build up some momentum for E3.
As for SE... well I won't be surprise if they will show FFXIII Versus in E3. They owe it to the fans to get that game out.
Well we kind of speculated that this might happen. So no surprise if this is true in the end.
People has forgotten that the Big N has been a survivor in the industry. I have no doubt Ninty will turn things around with the Wii U they way they did with the 3DS.
As for the PS4/720 doom article, we should be expecting that later this year, if the release does happen. :/
I already played this game on my PS2 when it first came out and now I'm playing it again on my Vita and it never lost its charm. The additional scenes and links makes this game worth playing again and again.
As a long time gamer, its just hard for me to see the console industry without a Ninty hardware.
^^Its because MS does not rely on the Xbox division and is not their main product. Their main product will and forever be Windows.
However, Sony has no other product that can give it a boost like the Playstation brand.
They can't even release FFXIII Versus and can't even localize FF Type-0. Hope is a little dim right now with the way SE is treating FF.
I'm not worried, I do not regret buying a Vita. Whatever happens, happens. The ball is in Sony's court. We can all vent our frustrations and jubilation but in the end all we can do is wait for the outcome.
Sega needs to bring this game over. My cold hard earned cash is calling for this game.
And I thought the boomerang controller for the PS3 was hilarious. This one takes the cake. lol!
No sir I did not mix it up, although Sony has physically shifted all their resources to the Vita. They continue to support the PSP with their 10yr life cycle plan.
The PSP is still part of their strategy. They should totally remove it like what Ninty did with the DS.
So there is no incentive for the 3rd party Japanese devs to shift towards the Vita since according to Sony themselves the PSP is still an important market to them.
In my opinion...
^ I agree, they should just re-release the game with new content. I mean don't they usually change the song when they localize an FF game anyway? This entire situation is just sad, especially if this is about licensing issue over a song/soundtrack.
Get the Japanese 3rd party devs to stop making games for the PSP on make them on the Vita and have the well known titles get localized for the English speaking market.
In my opinion the main reason why the Vita is struggling is because Sony continuous to support the PSP in the Land of the Rising Sun, thus games are still made for the predecessor instead of the successor.
The main strength of the PSP came from 3rd party Japanese developers specifically JRPGs genre and if they ain't making games for the Vita then there are no games that is going to be localized for the English speaking market.
Sony geared the Vita for the...
That would be a hard pill to swallow for me. Since I borrow games from my friends when it comes to genres that I do not buy and vice versa.
Unable to borrow games from my friends doesn't sound too appealing to me.
^^So wanting to have a good game localize is bad now? :/
And are you guys telling me that this game is not being released due to licensing? and that SE can't pay for it?
This is an FF game. It can pay for itself. Make it multiplat. Heck even at download only. It will make a profit and pay that license issue.
But that is not the case in Japan where the PSP is still enjoying support from 3rd party developers. The PSP became popular because of 3rd party games from Japan, a lot of JRPGs to be precise.
Sony really needs to get those Japanese developers on the Vita because even multiplatform games are still being released on the PSP and not on the PSV in the Land of the Rising Sun.
Sony's fault is continuing support of the PSP in Japan, so 3rd party devs continue to make games on it rather than the Vita. This is not the case on what happened with Nintendo, when the 3DS was announced almost all support for the DS stopped and then completely ceased after the 3DS was launched.
Sony should do the same and give incentives to 3rd party devs to make games on the Vita. The successor should not be held back by its predecessor.
$299 after some years under its belt (aka a price cut), sure. Upon release? Highly unlikely, it will be a miracle if that happens.
