I have to disagree with the author, it has nothing to do with age but with the people who are developing the games. They forgot what made the previous FF's great and now the series has lost its charm and they're even trying to milk the current predecessor that has been getting mix sentiments from fans.
You just need to look at what is happening to Resident Evil to see what alienating your fanbase can do, what SE is doing now to FF is no different.
For me its not a deciding factor since I keep my old consoles but it sure wouldn't hurt to have one, as long as it does not add a significant cost to the new consoles then I am all for it.
XSeed delivers the goods again! Awesome!
Well said!
The genre never needed saving but this game is a breath of fresh air that fans of the genre truly appreciates.
Its a needed stimulus package if you ask me XD
Rest in peace sir and thank you for sharing your talent with us.
The way these so-called journalist are putting out negative articles. You think they want the industry to fail.
Why is this even such a big deal? Its the end of the generation, of course sales are down. All consoles are in the same decline. Sheezz... to much hate.
I wish the gaming journalist tried to find the reason for these layoffs first since the very same studio was hiring just about a month ago. The lack of info in the news just makes things confusing.
Agreed, gone are the days that we enjoy to talk about games for what they are and not what some so-called gaming journalist thinks they should be.
Owned it, played it, loved it. Now is hopeful for a sequel.
The Lightning DLC in FFXIII-2 (the ending was not exactly what I expected)
Resident Evil 5 (because Capcom announced the Gold Edition).
Tell us something we don't know.
OMG! I hope they are not thinking of putting the ending of Lightning Return in a DLC.
Baba you will forever have my respects for your statements now bring over those Tales games to the English speaking market and take my cold hard earned cash!
OMG! Yes~!!!!!
As long as Wada is running SE. The light will continue to get dimmer and dimmer at the end of the tunnel for the FF franchise.
I personally think the price of the memory cards is holding the Vita down. A lot of possible customers are seeing it as an extra hidden cost, the Vita should at the "very least" have a 4GB card free on every purchase like during the holiday season and the prices of those cards really needs a huge price drop. I mean the biggest card cost more than a game for pete sakes.
My biggest concern is when Kaz said "I'm shepherding several of those projects personally myself to make sure that it doesn't get held up in the bureaucracy, or it doesn't suddenly fade away in the approval process" If there is an underlining problem with the managers in the company, why not fire their collective behinds and make sure the next person will be a team player?
Nice~
More Alchemy goodness!
You know if NT wasn't so insensitive to the outcry of the fanbase and actually tried to reach out instead of being combative, they could have won a lot of the fanbase over and I think that show of arrogance is the real reason for a lot of the fanbase being put off by this game.
So instead of growing the fanbase they actually did the opposite. This was a total PR disaster.
