There is just too much hate this generation that some players are actually ignoring good games just because on where they are made.
I mean everyone of us has a preferred genre no doubt about it but to completely disregard a game because its made from Japan or in anywhere in the west is just totally mind blowing.
That's correct Epic owns the IP but the publishing rights is owned by Microsoft.
So the GoW trilogy will forever remain a Microsoft exclusive.
The only real reason I see for the reviewers to not to be able to finish a game, is if they are given a very unrealistic time table on when they need to submit their reviews from the time they got the game.
Otherwise they should try to finish a game (at least pour in a lot of game hours into it) to have a complete and better understanding of the game rather than just an incomplete experience before sharing their opinion.
Impressions after all can change depe...

I think a lot of SE hate will cloud a lot of people's judgement regarding this game.
Its not like the hate is not justified and all *coughfirewadacough* but players, especially longtime fans of the series should not be dissuaded by SE's previous mistakes (to put it lightly)
I think FFXIII-2 deserves some positive attention. Let Type-0 and FFXIII Versus be another subject for another story.
1) Japan has become handheld centric.
Knowing this the Japanese developers think they could make a quick buck by congesting the market with JRPGs with less development cost. The strategy did well at the beginning with a lot of sequels and ports leading the way but in the end nothing beats a full blow console experience and it took a while for the Japanese developers to realize this.
2) Unrealistic sales expectation.

I like FFX as the next FF fan does (seeing the FFX gang back on another adventure will put a smile on my face) but I think I would rather see Type-0 localized and FFXIII Versus release first before they start mentioning anymore FF news.
Of course remaking FFVII ain't a bad idea either.
VC1 actually sold way better in the west (NA to be exact) than it did in Japan.
So it was confusing for a lot of fans to why the sequels where on the PSP than on the PS3 since the game never really took off in Japan.
Sega has been known to make bad decisions when it comes to their franchises, that subsequently led to the series demise like Sakura Taisen, Shenmue, Panzar Dragoon just to name a few.
Detractors of the dedicated handheld gaming devices are jumping the gun by saying its dead.
I mean look at the PC gaming industry, they said it was dead when the console market was at its peek and yet its never been healthier than before.
They said the physical media in gaming will be gone with the advent of the downloadable service and yet retail still makes billions of dollar in revenue.

But why can't they just localize VC3? If Sega is worried about sales in the west then why not just put it on PSN or have a 3rd party do the localization?

I'm confused about the numbers myself. I first thought this numbers where from GDC 2011 the one from Feb-Mar but I see this is from GDC Online 2011 which is done this month.
Of course some Move owners will probably have more than one. Its a controller not not a single add-on device like the Kinect. There is a difference.
The last time I check the Wii was still ahead by a significant margin, world wide.

Maybe not this time around. MS do plan to have an integration of XBL and Win8, so this acquisition is a logical step to do that and they did create 3 other studios that is dedicated to make games on mobile devices too which will be part of the integration.
So we'll see.
Yeah I have a 360 and was happy to have played Vesperia but still it would have been better if we also get the PS3 version which has the missing character Patty the Pirate.
I don't know what's keeping Bamco from doing this though.

I think the Agent's exclusivity is more questionable than FFXIII Versus because even Jack Trenton wasn't sure anymore during the last E3 if the Agent will remain a PS3 exclusive while Tetsuya Nomura has repeatedly been saying that FFXIII Versus will remain as a PS3 exclusive.
In the end though, we'll just have to see which one holds more truth than the other.
