I'll be getting the Vita for my part. Probably the 3DS down the line. It all depends on how much cash I can save. lol!
As long as there are consumers there will always be a market. Same with the disc based media, same with PC gaming all of which was touted to be dead by now on one point or another.
I would agree to the fact that the sales won't be the same since the casuals may not buy the product but there will always be the core and as long as the developers have a certain realistic target they won't fail and the market will continue on.

I said this before and I will say it again and again. There is no way you can be accurate with SOLD data especially if your collecting it around the world. Even NPD (NA) and Media Create (Japan) is not 100% accurate.
You can only be accurate with SHIPPED data or download data which can be monitored but no one seems to be releasing data on that. :/
They already said that to the PC market before when the console market was at its height and it didn't die because you can customize your PC and fix it when a part is broken unlike with a console or a mobile device and you do not have to buy a revision to make your PC into a high end quality platform.

There is a reason VGCharts is being tagged as a rumor here in N4G. In all honesty all sales chart should be tagged as rumor there is no way you can accurately collect SOLD data from every retail outlets around the world.
Its just impossible.
That's why in the retail business SHIPPED is the one everyone looks at, since its an accurate data.

Because I just can't see the majority of core gamers playing the game without a second analog controller that allows them to play a fighting game the traditional way.

At least you know they are working on the Last Guardian because the head developers aren't being tossed around to make other games or save other games like what's happening with Square Enix and the FFXIIIVs dev team. :/
MS will wait and see if there is any changes in the sales before they announce a price drop of their own. If everything stays the course then I don't think they'll drop the price anytime soon.
No price drop + no changes in sales (for MS) = more money and I would think any business minded person would like for it to stay that way for awhile before making any changes.
If you want SE to restructure then Wada needs to step down. Which a good percentage of SE fans have been clamoring for. lol!
