Thanks!
Totally worth it. If you have Steam there is a ton of UGC (User Generated Content) as well. The game comes with an editor to create your own modules.
The gameplay is quite fun, although I still love the Genesis and SNES versions of the game, I backed this on Kickstarter and am glad I did.
Cat,
I just wanted to respond because this is such a fun experience! Please don't enter me as I already have the game.
Wait. You get points for turning that in? I wondered if there would be crafting so I kept it.
Where do I turn it in? I have a ton.
C'mon, Muse...Knights of Cydonia...Cydonia Rifle...
You mean his rehashes of the same tired stories about X1 and what MS promised? While I chuckled like a mad fanboy in glee when my beloved PS4 was revealed at E3 2013, I hardly find anything he has said contributes to the discussion in anyway.
As I've said from the getgo when I called him a noncontributing zero (see report).
But if you think the guy is anything but flamebait, please, watch the video, perhaps many times and listen as he states at the begin...
Maybe you should. Or at least provide a definition of the term "clickbait" so that we can see what definition you're using.
Ignore the Jimquisition part and focus on the headline itself: The XboxOne: A Lying Failure Machine.
Titles are certainly not immune to the report and claim of clickbait. That is why noncontributing zeroes like Jim Sterling write them. There is no other reason.
After watching the vid (before it was pos...
It's so clickbaity that I had to agree with (and bubble up) XiSasukeUchiha!
Wrong. He was constantly called out when he was on Destructoid. Just because he moved sites doesn't make him less of a sentationalist.
And if you think I am a fanboy, check my comments back to 2007. Nary a pro xbox comment.
You don't have to be an xbox fan to recognize flamebait.
Exactly. That $500 million is the ten year budget for the game. They are investing $50 million a year (I did the math so the article's author could understand :D). That number includes marketing. They need to sell about 30 million copies of the game to double their investment.
I've already reached lvl 8 and I feel like there is still a ton to discover.
Problem: the article's author thinks there is some sore of original thinking to write flamebait articles.
I've encountered this a couple times. Quite nice feature. I always target the hardest enemies before taking the others down.
This game is perfect for me because I am an explorer in most 1st person games. I want to find all there is to find before I go off on a rampage shooting everything that there is to be seen.
I want to explore every nook and cranny.
...and is currently in 2nd in terms of consoles sold through to customers?
Damn... approved before I could report the obvious clicky flamebait.
Finally a well written piece about violence without the finger pointing.
While I do have questions about some of the article: such as why the reaction to Newtown? Was it the way the press covered it? Why not similar reactions to what goes on in innercities across America?
That asked, I do agree with you to a point. But I also think there are many, many games available that don't involve killing. Although, many 1st person games tend to focus on this, I...
Who is we? And why are you using them wrong? They are pretty easy to figure out. Most people who have taken a freshmen high school English class learns about genres.
Genre - a type of artistic composition.
How isn't a Fantasy RPG and a Sci Fi RPG a genre? And why not differentiate between the various Sci Fi games: such as action, adventure, shooter...
I'm not sure that word means what you think it does.
What's really sad is that this guy writes flamebait, and he thinks it's an original concept.
I drove by a church yesterday and the placard read: Faith: Seeing the Invisible.
Nothing like truth in advertising.
Well said, guys, well said.
But I wonder if the author of this article is aware of a little known superpower many of us have:
The Ability to own a Console AND a PC.
And (rather a secondary superpower) the power to play games on (wait for it) BOTH!!!!
Dun, Dun DUUUUUUNNNNNNH!!!!
It's not about platform. It's about community. I use Steam to find the right community to play with. With TF2 we use all talk so that we can laugh at each other and have a blast.
On my console, I sought out a more mature gaming community. I only play with them and the experience is far better.
It is important for devs to embrace this so that the gaming experience is enjoyed by people who want to enjoy it and not get nagged by a bunch of whiny brat...
