The game is a blast. You can freely team up with randoms since launch and I have never had a bad group of people to play with. I have even teamed up with people who killed me in the DZ.
It is fun, but then again, it is a video game.
It was worth buying at launch. I earned the Platinum and had a ton of fun. But they are fixing the DZ AI which was my biggest complaint.
Maybe we should start a petition to get them tissues.

I get that people misconstrued or misunderstood what was meant by MP, but as you claim, if you had researched the game you would have known about how MP worked based on an article in 2014 posted on Gameinformer entitled: Stop Thinking of No Man's Sky as a Multiplayer Game.
So, not just an Official Link but also an interview dating back years explaining the MP.

It is a great game and I got exactly what I expected and wanted. That is, because, like you, I researched the game and knew it was an old school science fiction exploration survival game.
And the game is the exploration and naming and surviving on new planets. Those planets are much like our own solar system: many of them monotonous, but 1 in 10 seem to have gigantic oceans.
I feel I got more than my money's worth. I have the platinum trophy on the PS...

Good. Just read the About page on NMS .com... still the same page since launch. Got exactly what was advertised.
No. I was thinking about this same thing. Gamers are fickle. They get mad at day one DLC (which I agree), but when a company develops the DLC over time and makes sure it is good, I don't think those same gamers should complain because the company is investing time and money in making the DLC.
This is about a patch. And, so far, their patches have been better than some companies' DLC.
I look at it more like how Bethesda handles fallout or Rocks...
