I didn't even know you had a choice in the matter of letting him live. How do you choose?
Sorry to put a dent in your argument, but while I do agree with what you are saying that people put the government in power I think you are missing the big picture. It has become all but impossible to get the government out of power for the plain and simple reason that no one wants to do anything.
All we hear on the news is how bad things are. If we do this, this bad thing will happen, if we do that, that bad thing will happen. It seems that no matter what happens we are all s...
They actually said something about that on the radio in Vice City (I think it was vice city). A guy questions why the city would spend so much money on school buses when there hasn't been a child born in the city since the mid seventies.
Can anyone tell me when there was a time in GTA that you could climb a telephone poll? Anytime, mission or roaming?
My point is that ratings are suggestions. Put in place so that you can make an informed choice. If you truly don't think that your 12 year child can handle a PG-13 movie than that is your choice.
There are already plenty of safeguards in place to help protect children. All of them very clearly laid out. There are always ways of getting around those guidelines and when people do it is no reason to scream about the degeneration of society.
"If this 'hobby' ever wants to take itself seriously, then it needs to grow up and accept that some entertainment is intended for, and should only be enjoyed by, adults."
I have only one question for you? Would you allow your 12 year old child to see the movie 'Eight Legged Freaks'?
Yes? Really? Are you sure? The movies is rated PG-13. By your logic (flawed as it is) that movie shouldn't even exist in your library on the off chance that your child will ...

Most peoples understanding of right and wrong is set in by the time they are 10. By 16 if someone kills someone else they can be tried as an adult. This shows that it is recognized that children (those under 18 yrs) know that what they are doing is wrong.
Hey Tony, are you saying that religion is a low blow because you are religious, or because you are ignorant to its short comings. Many people have very stupid things because of religion. Remember that guy who wrote "The Satanic Verses"? Muslims (I don't know which sect) called a fatwa (sp?) on him. They him dead just because of a book.
History has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that religion (or hating a religion) is a bad thing and I can name dozens of reasons off...
Sounds to me like you yourself don't have kids. Trust me, when you do you will see things in a different light. Every child reacts differently to everything around them. My nephew is terrified by frogs and sometimes has nightmares about them. Where-as my daughter laughs in the face of barking dogs (shes almost 7 months old).
Once you actually know how a child will react to a given situation then you can tell them what they can and can't do. The way you talk you sound like the t...
I agree but for it seems to be the games that are stopping me from getting excited by the games. The last game I was excited about was TimeShift, I played for two days (two 2 hour sessions each day) and I beat the freakin thing! I felt very cheated cause of how short it was.
I am a stay at home dad. I need something that will fill my time when the baby is sleeping.
I am only 23 and already more than a couple of those apply to me :-(
Didn't he say he beat the S class. Cause you seem to think that he said that he beat the S class for every single car.
You people DO realise that you don't have to beat a game completely and totally to know that you like it, right?
I am not going to buy the demo, but if you feel that way than who cares what other people say.
So your saying that because he is not perfect he has no opinion?
My fav was Warrior Within. Very well told story, excellent fighting mechanics.
The whole series seems to be a metaphor for growing up. Part one is childhood, where the prince lives a carefree life only to be thrown into a situation caused by his own actions. Part two is adolescence, trying to recapture his childhood by undoing everything that he had done. Part three is adulthood, where the prince finally accepts that he must live with the choices he has made.
That seems to be the only way that they can even stay in the game nowadays, eh?
I can't tell if this supposed to be funny or serious. Some of what he says is funny, but if I knew very little about video games in general I would assume that he was being serious.
For me the major letdowns have been the minor lag that cause you to either miss your shots because the other guy has already rounded a corner before the CPU detects it. The other is when you seems to have made it behind cover only to be killed because that last bullet seemed to be delayed for some reason.
The hit detection also seems to be off for the sniper rifle. My accuracy only goes down when I try to get XP for the sniper rifles.
It is for these reasons that...
...this sounds as though some consumer protection group just wants to sound like they actually care about the release of the game. The press release contains all of the buzz words associated with this kind of behavior. They are just saying what they know people want to hear while trying to sound as though they are tough against whatever it is they are against at the moment.
