I am here, what more do you want?

I think this shows some truth in the debate into wether video games cause violence, only it shows it to be the other way around. Instead of causing violence they seem to be using video games to desentize people to violence.

People play video games so other people make killing machines behave (and be controlled similarly) like video games. Then the media sees this and turns it around to be that video games cause violence instead.

I was actually talking to guy above me who said that MS is made out to be the bad guy just because they have money. Sorry for any confusion.

"Oh dear, hear that little violin playing for you. OMG, grow up. Why would news make you want to sell your PS3?"

How can I explain? Pretend you are playing the original DONKEY KONG, in the arcade and everything. You work very, very hard and spend your well earned money in order to get the highest score possible. Then i come along, pay the owner of the arcade to let me program a higher score onto to the list. How would that make you feel?

Your argumant makes no sense. you are saying that it is unethical for you to take money that you have legally (hopefully :P) made and spend it on something that you want. This is different than what MS is doing. What they are doing is akin to pirating. They are going to be making money off of something that they had no part in developing just because they have the money to buy it.

I don't even know what you are talking about when it comes to online content. For GTA IV, MS BOUGH...

Did you even read the blog? This guy is saying that it is a bad thing that MS buys games. He says that Sony should also start doing it because it may the only way to stop MS from doing this.

BTW: This also seems to be the only way for MS to actually get good games for the system.

It is not about being patient. It is about not getting what we were promised. Being patient would help if Sony suddenly decided to release 2.4 three weeks early then being patient would be the answer. instead they released it late so that developers would have more time to make the patches necessary, only now it seems that no one want to do the work.

We have COD4 promising to update their game as long people keep playing the game. Not only do they refuse to make rumble availabl...

How about when he started a sword fight even though he had no arms?

Actually their training does involve a real gun. Those shooting simulators (the ones I have seen ne ways) use real guns hooked up to sensors (kind of like a light gun). the only problem is that they have no recoil.

The guy with no gun prolly just surprised the cops thats all. they were already on edge when they saw the gun and then another guy comes out of no-where. Happens all the time.

Ever heard of the Wii? Some people have standards man.

Besides, he said that he eliminates games with violence, sex and language. Please remember that ones person good time is another persons gory violence. He wants to have something specific for his child and he can't find it. That is his problem and he should take his son with him when he is going to buy games.

Did you even read the article? He said that BOTH hime and his wife helped their son play the game and is was still too hard. The point of the article is to say that Kids games shouldn't so hard that a child needs to ask for help instead od asking if the parents just want to play with them.

"Also im kinda picky like this but using a knife and a pistol leads to bad trigger discipline and overall bad marksmanship..."

I know you are just being picky but the reason Snake uses a gun in one hand and a knife in the other is because of CQC. When he holds his weapons the way he does he is able to focus one more than one target at VERY close range. When he is up against a long distance target he uses just a single gun.

"Should parents be concerned? Not really, conclude the authors. They say these data are correlational only, and it may be that kids who already have these problems are more attracted to violent video games or that a third factor may be causing the relationship."

So in other words, this article will be used in order to further the agenda of video game haters. I will not be surprised if this study is reported on thousands of times by the end of the year as proof that vi...

I personally think that the reason more battles and campaigns aren't used is because they weren't fought mainly by Americans. The battle's that you have listed were fought mainly by Canadians and Europeans.

He obviously does not lose money. If he wasn't making money, theaters would not be showing his movies. Besides he makes almost all of his money in rentals, not in the box office. Despite what u all may think, some of his movies are actaully pretty good to just sit down and watch. He makes nothing that is to be considered a good movie so you dont have to pay attention to it. you can just veg in front of the tv and enjoy yourself.

Besides, from the amount that you people are talk...

"Let’s face it; an American military guy heading to another country to “finish what he started” while surrounded by a bunch of poor, raving mad, black zombies"

Would it make any difference if the blacks were rich? No of course not, that wouldn't work with the story.

"...but seeing hundreds of angry zombies made it look like poor Chris was trying to take on the entire country. "

What does this have to do with racism? If the entir...

If he mentioned any of those things it would kill his argument. Watch out for people who never do both sides of the story as they probably would just attck you for not paying attention to the article. There is no such thing as an unbiased article, but this guy seems to be setting GTA 1 on such a high pedistal that he can't possibly see any of its faults.

The problem is that people had such high expectations that when the game came out they were, of course, disappointed. There are two ways to judge how good a game is.

One is to play it. And make sure to give it a fair try too. Play the first five levels or something like that. No one can tell you how to like a game because no two people look at the same thing the same way. It is just like watching a movie. You can't tell that you like it just by watching the opening credits. <...

When I read this article all I was hearing in my head was: "Back in my day..."

I know that I am going to be getting alot of disagrees on this but I have to say it. You are stuck in the past. The only reason GTA 4 was made the way it was made was because R* knew that people want to play games that are made this way. If people really did want a birds-eye view of everything going on then the game would have been made that way. I really do hate it when people try to prove...
