Not sure if it'll flop, because people could dig the co-op, but to me the demo felt incredibly uninspired and very "been there done that". In short: kind of boring.
Still my favorite game this generation.
I'm trying really hard to like this game-- I've been playing a bit every day. I love the characters and can easily get past the visuals; my biggest problem with the game so far is that gameplay-wise it's a chore. It's just not fun to do much of anything in the world. Shooting, driving, load times when peeking in windows-- every single thing you do is sluggish. I can see the charm and brilliance in the title though, so here's to maybe falling in sync with it.
1.5 million is their minimum goal... I wonder how quickly they'll hit it. =)

E3 2013's gonna be crazy. Crazy in the best possible way.
Yeah, I've owned one for about 5 or so years and you know what?... The Blu-Ray disc, as a storage medium, has rarely been utilized by third-party developers. There are a lot of great looking first-party titles out there (I remember being particularly impressed with the texture quality in Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 when they launched) but aside from Tomb Raider and maybe Battlefield 3's single-player campaign (yes there are others smattered here and there also), most developers don'...
Yeah I bought it and played all the way through it. I loved it. Basically, if you like the demo you'll really like the final game. The demo is a good representation of what you get.
Net Gain: Corporate Espionage too.
Oh wow, I hadn't heard about this. Is the Texture Pack only for the 360 version? Are the textures pre loaded on the PS3 disc (as opposed to needing a second disc for them)? Either way, I cannot wait for this game!
I found that playing with one other person was incredibly fun, but when there were 3 or 4 people in our party, things got ridiculously hectic. I find the quietness in playing solo incredibly creepy-- it's just a different experience. But overall I like the series game for it's co-op experience rather than the one it provides via single-player. =)
I so badly wanted to love Alan Wake. I just couldn't stand having a narrator describe aloud, my every action and decision. I totally agree with what you're saying though. =)
Nah, I've written too many positive articles about the 3DS and its games to be considered a true hater. Despite that, gotta poke some fun from time to time. You're right though, the game could be absolutely fun to play, which is all that matters in the end.
Yeah, especially on consoles, the game's visuals are anything but perfect... But it's just so fun crafting weapons, dismembering enemies, and surviving environments with some friends online. =)
You nailed it.
I <3 Dragon's Dogma. I was a little peeved that they decided to essentially resell it in order for fans to grab the Dark Arisen content ($40 vs $60, yes), but after selling it off and putting the cash towards a Dark Arisen reservation, it's only gonna cost me about $20, which I would have paid for DLC anyway.
Long story short: Yeah, DD is awesome, I I hope the upcoming "version" of it helps generate an even larger fan-base for the title.
He doesn't discourage people from experiencing Infinite, because he "gets" it; he sort of just says he's too afraid to play it, and to each their own. lol.
Same here, and then I grabbed it for the PSP back in the day. Still my favorite music game to date. =)
