We already know of Nintendo's issues with the Wii U. Things are different now. The 3DS whet through some struggles as well.
In 2014 the Wii U has a killer lineup. The bad sales of the Wii U are a thing of the past. The Vita continues to struggle.

If you bring up the past, yes the Wii U has not done so well. But that's because there was a lack of marketing and games.
Now that the marketing, bundles, and games are there, the Wii U is doing to sell much better.
The same thing happened with the 3DS. Move on, and focus on what you can control. That's the mindset Nintendo has.

2014 is a big year. Look at those Mario Kart 7 sales. I think a lot of people are getting ready for Mario Kart 8 on Wii U next year. That game is going to sell a lot of Wii U's.

Its the top selling Console in Japan. Outsold the PS3, PS Vita, and PS Vita TV.

I disagree. I think it has a great price because you get a game with it for free, or two games based on the bundle.
Plus it has free online play and a killer lineup for 2014. The Wii U is totally worth it

There is no official announcement for a Western release. Just because "Ishin" is translated to "Restoration" doesn't mean that would be the name if it did come to the West. They could simply keep the name "Ishin"
Man....this looks good. In 2014, I'll be playing my Wii U a lot. Just got Deus Ex Human Revolution. Finishing up Super Mario 3D World. Then Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze in February. Mario Kart in April or so. Smash Bros, Monolith Soft's X, Bayonetta 2.

However, the sales of the PS Vita before the PS4 was released were well under the Wii U. And the sales are near the Wii right now.
Sony made two grave mistakes with the Vita:
1. No backwards compatibility

Releasing Smash Bros on both systems was a great idea. Many people will buy both. And there is enough of a difference in graphics to justify the getting both.
The Wii U version will have more online options different characters, ect.
Its not like PlayStation All stars where its basically the same game between the Vita and PS3

Nintendo is beating all the competition. The PS3 had two high profile games in Gundam and Drakengard 3 launch and sales barely went up.
The PS3 is cheap in Japan, has a bunch of great games, it should be selling FAR better than it is in Japan, but its not.
