This is wrong. He uses assumptions and his math is wrong.
Nintendo said they were aiming for 9 million Wii U's sold by the end of March.
Currently they are over 5 million Wii U's sold. Exactly how can they miss their target by 6 million?
hype..........then crash and burn. Another shooter.? LOL I'll pass
PS3 sold 80 million, but lost Sony 3.5 billion dollars.
Soooo....yeah.
Who said it was a big deal? Its just news.
And just to let you know, people were hammering the Wii U on a daily basis for its sales in Japan. The fact that if came back and sold as well as it did is good. Competition is good for everybody right?
Obviously those games you guys are listing are not enough for Sony to even mention the sales on their reports.
I like the competition. The better Sony does, the better games we get. But to see Sony ignoring the Vita...is kind of sad.
Sony's best developers are not making anything on the system. Its going on two years now and we don't have a Gran Turismo (Sony's highest selling franchise) God of War, or Infamous on the system.
I...
There are a ton of console ports in that list man. The Vita needs EXCLUSIVE games built from the ground up for the Vita
Don't defend those memory card prices Hicken, you like paying that much for a 32GB Memory card?
Even that is wrong, Nintendo is publishing it in North America and Europe, and some of Square Enix's staff worked on the game with Silicon.
GTA 5 on PS4 and Xbox One?
Then nothing is doing well, because the Vita is lower and the pS3 was crap.
The Wii U also outsold the PS3 in its first year in Japan.
That's my main problem with the UK Charts. They don't count digital, which is becoming a HUGE factor into sales.
Got to love these N4G troll articles.
Knushwood Butt
VGChartz wasn't the source used, when those reports were coming out, and no, Knack wasn't available digitally at launch. PSN was having issues in the UK. Super Mario 3D World was number one on the eShop in every region.
On top of that, that counted Knack Bundles, but didn't coun't the Mega Mario Bundle Nintendo was selling. So overall, it was inaccurate and nobody could say for 100% it outsold it.
Knack didn't really outsell Super Mario 3D World in the UK for sure. No digital numbers were counted. And no ACTUAL numbers were given. Just a position chart with ZERO numbers.
LOL, that was just people who have NO clue how the industry and sales works.
Nintendo titles are evergreen. They sell for years, not weeks like Sony and MS games.
Super Mario 3D World will be one of the best selling games this generation when its all said and done.
That is from 2009.... LOL
After reading your post, it's ironic you would call somebody else an idiot.
Super Smash Bros on Wii U is going to sell just fine. Most people are going to want the enhanced graphics and better online play of the Wii U version.
Hardcore players will buy both.
The UK is not the second biggest gaming market in the world. Japan is, but the mainstream media doesn't want you to know that.
When the UK decided to grow a pair and release their video game sales numbers like Japan on a weekly bases, I refuse to believe the UK is as big as Japan.
The UK is too afraid to release their numbers in the fear it would expose how low their numbers are.
Troll slash click bait with no updated holiday numbers to back up his claim. Stupid comparisons, and completely ignores the success of the 3DS.
Doesn't understand that SEGA had MULTIPLE hardware failures before they bowed out of the race, and Nintendo's business model is much better.
Stupid writer, looking for clicks.
