Nobody I think 75K is skyrocketing for a home console in Japan. In November, the Wii U sold more in one month than it did all year.
Pikmin 3 more than doubled Wii U sales in Japan 6 weeks after release.

The PS3 had Dynasty Warriors and multiple Gundam Games. It didn't dominate. DriveClub is a new IP....how do you know its going to sell in Japan? That's right you don't.
Gran Turismo 6 didn't even boost PS3 numbers much in Japan. I wouldn't expect the Drive Club to be anything special there.

Its called a "EVERGREEEN" Title for a reason. Nintendo games sell for LONG Periods of time.
The PSP was not niche, it sold 80 million plus units.
There are three big problems with the Vita
1. Games
2. Lack of Backwards compatibility
3. Memory prices
If Sony would have made the Vita reverse compatible and use SD memory I feel more people would by it.

Super Mario 3D World was not a flop. Mario games sell over time. Stop looking at it from a week to week basis. Check back in a year or so and see how the sales are.
