It obviously isn't about price but about available content. In Japan the price difference between $199 and $249 is negligible. People regularly pay for alot more than that for just about any consumer product. Cheaper can only take a product so far.

As the article summarizes, the weak dollar and the strong yen are totally killing profits on Sony's end. I estimated Sony was losing $70 dollars just off the currency exchange alone. Check out the historic rates if you don't believe me. $70 is a HUGE drop in profit per consumer electronics sold.

Even if the 360 sales numbers have been double the ps3's for the last 2 months of the price cut, MS sales isn't going to jump from 21 - 24 mill. We're talking about 200,000 unit increase at the most for the last 2 months. I assert that Eurogamer either pulled the 24 million out of their ass, or are talking shipped to retail units.

I agree with the rest of your title picks except left4dead. The game's engine is clearly outdated (even with the new cosmetic upgrade) and the co-op has absolutely nothing on the R2's.
