E3 was a blast this year. Wish it would go back to being 4 days instead of 3.
Wish we had more time to ask him about the "perks" system, suit upgrades and the in game currency used to obtain them.
There is even word that they are testing out vehicles.
They were heavily ambitious with the first title and they seem even more ambitious with this one and it looks like it will delivery on it much more than the first one did.
One of the best interviews I've been in on. I don't usually laugh that much.
And all your post proves is you don't read very well. That's not pre-rendered cut scenes. It's being rendered in real time.
I know. I was there. I played it. Pre-rendered cut scenes don't let you move the camera around.
To all you claiming it was CGI or pre-rendered on other hardware and played back on 3DS, why don't you ask the people that were there instead of assuming stuff you obviously don't know anything about?
Everything you was was being rendered in real time on the 3DS. You could control the camera in real time. You cannot do that with a video.
The only thing in video form were the actual 3D movie trailers on display and the Kid Icarus Uprising trailer.
Indeed they were positive. I went in not expecting much from the game and walked away blown away. It's the best Sonic game I've played in a very long time.
But stay cautiously optimistic just in case. But I do expect it to get the best review impressions and scores for a Sonic game this generation (granted that isn't asking for much).
It's a good thing games aren't fun based on their output resolution, huh?
Man, that would have sucked playing games back when the output resolution was 256 x 240....or less.
This except I played the game itself at E3 which gave me the same boost in confidence you got when seeing the HQ vids.
The unveiling was merely to showcase the 1:1 sword controls but there was crazy interference in there. When the demo kiosks popped up from the show floor in front of the stage and we got to try the game there, the interference was far less and the game grew on me quickly.
This was reaffirmed when I played it at Nintendo's booth. The art...
It's not a low blow for Nintendo to say that RIGHT NOW 3D TV's, 3D devices and 3D glasses are prohibitively expensive because it's the absolute truth.
Nintendo is simply saying that you can go the 3D home TV route but you better be ready to fork out a lot of cash...unfortunate mostly for those that just recently upgraded their TV to begin with and that they are offering a 3D experience that can be enjoyed in the short term for far cheaper.
And on ...
Zodiac909, indeed I was at E3 and had 3 separate instances of time with various 3DS games and demo's.
The only demo that required movement to achieve a 3D effect was one (don't recall a name unfortunately) that used the 2 cameras on the back to create an augmented reality visual which displayed everything the cameras saw in full 3D with a series of puzzle elements mapped onto the objects on screen. Moving around naturally changed what you saw because the imagery was ...
What in the world are you talking about? Where did you read that you must move around to get the 3D effect on the 3DS?
Kinda funny given that those 50 or so 3DS demo kiosks at E3 were not very mobile and yet we ALL saw the 3D clear as day and were' quite impressed by it.
Walking around to get the 3D effect? Not true 3D? If you're going to knock something, at least get the facts right.
Rob Fahey isn't saying that Sony should utilize the same 3D technology that Nintendo is using but rather that Sony should not cry about Nintendo's "Look ma, no glasses" marketing for 3DS.
Sony recently stated that they didn't like Nintendo bashing #D glasses. Which is ironic given how often Sony takes the opportunity to bash Nintendo in their own marketing.
This editorial was simply to show the differentiation between the two technologi...
It was for June and the shortages stopped at the end of March.
The PS3 isn't having shortages anymore. These numbers are with a full stock of PS3's.
Al-Burrito.
I and thousands of other industry and media attendees at E3 a few weeks ago felt just as skeptical only to get wide-eyed in disbelief at what we say on screen.
I don't think I've heard one really negative opinion from those that played one yet.
Pirate Thom, my point is that the industry was already moving in that direction. Sony sold a lot of console. I'm not taking away their achievement. But given the entirety of the industry was already moving onto a broader audience (and I dare it was more than nerds, kids and geeks before hand...just a smaller sampling of the full market we have today) Sony was merely a player in a they didn't write. The whole industry wrote it.
Sony sold the most thanks to good d...
They've already fixed the shortage issue. That's why VGC said that.
I see a wide price range for 3D glasses. But when I see a pair that cost as much as the whole 3DS itself....that tells me that Nintendo has every right to state their claim and Sony are really making themselves out to sound like cry babies.
It also makes me recall all the times that Sony has bashed Nintendo for something only to roll out their own iteration of it later on.
Sony makes great things but their PR is atrocious.
