@subtenko: Pretty sure PS4 has a store matching your exact description as well. Or is the PlayStation Store not a thing anymore?

The PS4 can also accept updates just like Xbox One. An update provided Xbox One with Xbox 360 backwards compatibility emulation components.

PS4 is the only PlayStation console without any sort of PSOne compatibility. Sony claims the reason PS3 can't be done is due to the workings of the Cell. That however only covers PS3 games.

Why is it literally impossible for PS4 to offer some sort of PS2 & PSOne emulation itself like previous consoles have done? The PSP, PS Vita, & Xperia phones allow you to play PSOne games stored on those systems.

I call bullshit the PS4 is not capable.

It is the first PlayStation console. PS2 offered backwards compatibility with PSOne games. PS3 also did both physical PSOne playback and digital.

Even PSP & Vita are capable. Xperia phones are capable. Seems pretty much everything but PS4 is.

The money they stand to make from selling an old title as new

3346d ago 4 agree2 disagreeView comment

Yes you can.

Simply go to your local retailer that sells Xbox 360 titles, purchase a BC piece of content, you then have the option to pay with cash on top of use the original disc, then take it home to play. Rinse and repeat as necessary.

Oh, you could also replace BC content with a Xbox gift card then again, not have to use a CC on the Xbox Store nor in store.

And no, you do not have to have a credit card attached to your Xbox account ...

Yeah right? Exactly why remasters on PS4 even come from Sony itself. With a new price tag.

Destiny has been said to have moved more units on Xbox versus PlayStation even with the exclusivity deal. It should be known further that the end of the Activision-PlayStation deal should be nearing. I would expect Microsoft to be interested once again.

...Are you all being serious right now? How is this even worth anything of value? Here is what was said.

"Naughty Dog’s Arne Meyer said, “The Activision folks have been great enough to bring a couple of builds by the studio so we’ve been able to check it out already. I think for a lot of the team members that have been there for the duration, they’re really excited to revisit Crash.”"

"When asked whether it was strange to see a franchise th...

Hackers showed that it would be possible for more games to be stored on the NES Classic

They did at one point have something similar.

It was called Qore.

Pulse was also a thing before the headset.

It wouldn't be in the development phase. They need to justify its other uses before gaming in this instance solely because it's new technology that's not available on a consumer level.

Microsoft has also said they don't want to release HoloLens without uses for it. There are a few mobile games that already support HoloLens and I'd expect more around a consumer release.

They're already developing HoloLens which is rumored to see a retail release in 2018.

There's even already content existing for HoloLens.

Moving development from Wii U to Switch so late then downgrading the Wii U version in favor of a "better" Switch version pretty well guaranteed the Wii U versions inferiority
