It'll probably be sooner. Would make more sense to launch it around the time ACIV comes out, October 29th. Many other titles come out around the same time giving the PS4 a nice launch selection on top of more to come very, very soon after.
Either way don't see both consoles launching on the same day.
.
Video is old and full of false information. No shock coming from MS. They state in one part of the video that details of Xbox Live hasn't been confirmed yet, but then we can find this...

Not quite. Can't forget that it also applies to services like Netflix and such as well, something the Xbox Live Gold site confirms is still happening with the Xbox One. Then according to their own page the "Game DVR" feature will also require Gold. To top it off the free service Skype will require users to have Gold.

Not to mention if you want to get down to the nitty gritty PS+ is cheaper than Xbox Live with more advantages >.>
@greenlantern2814: thus why I didn't use the Xbox One as an example. The reply was directed at the poster insinuating that the same applies to the Xbox 360 & PS3. While I don't know about the 360, the terms they're talking about in the article do not apply to the PS3 by any means unless you deactivate/delete the purchasing account from the system and the games are digital.
Physical discs will still continue to work regardless of a ban. The only thing you stand...
I'm going to ask why you can't. The games are already activated on PS3. Assuming you don't deactivate there's no reason to reactivate and your games... They'll still work all around assuming you aren't playing something like MAG and that it's digital. If you have the disc, poof. That argument goes out the window.
You already paid for them.
@GoldenMonkey34: Until you realize users are very capable of ya know, giving their games to relatives or others that might enjoy the game?
I give, not sell my games to family all the time in particular. If I'm done with it or don't enjoy it but others might, why not?
Really? As soon as he said this it lost all my interest. Sounds like a guy looking for somebody to blame rather than admitting to the actual problem.
"Right now it's not very clear; it went from once every 24 hours to not at all to all the time, and I got very confused by it. They just need to be very clear, focus on the benefits, and after a while, we'll be in the same place as this," he said, pointing to a smartphone. "This has to be always online and...
Holy cow. Think people don't really want to think anymore.
You can buy a car and if properly maintained you can have it 10+ years and still be able to drive it down the same road the same way.
Can you say the same for graphics cards? Any PC component? No, you can't. Why? The road on PC isn't the same.
The part you're missing in all of that is first party, but even first party games aren't really coming
Or maybe I mean to say that Microsoft is falling down on its face? Maybe I mean to say exactly what I said by pointing out that this "article" is just terrible and uninformed?
Vita has CGC too btw and features that "integrate" it with the PS3, some dating back to the PSP.
But then again how is the XBOne going to tout features over another console that the other console has?... Point of the day Einstein.
Gah... I really hope people read this flat out terrible "article". Someone's either put their rose colored glasses on, had too much to drink, or flat out doesn't have a clue.
"Group Chat, cohesive integration across platforms and a secure system that hasn’t been hacked since it’s conception makes Xbox Live to go to place for online console gaming" - Two of those are happening with PS4 and the third is quite a bit of wishful thinking
Many American consumers choose the "New and shiny" product instead of basing their purchases on functionality or actually knowing if its "new".
This stereotype, sadly, can be shown and proven. This is why most American advertisements now have literally zero to do with the product they're trying to sell.
And yes, I am American however I care to be informed about my purchase and what it offers to me.
Great. Now how many people have those?
How many other products can offer that?
How much is it?
Oooo... Interesting story.
Think Bill Gates has better things to do with his time and money. Since 2008 when he decided to switch focuses he's been selling his Microsoft stock by the millions and even going as far as saying there are better places to invest your money that show much more return than Microsoft.

... By not sharing what's inside their house but rather sharing their gameplay? Similar to how Black Ops 2 already does?
You live stream on Black Ops 2. If you have your PS Eye plugged in you can choose to use it during your live stream, broadcasting yourself or surroundings along with your gameplay. If the Eye isn't present or if you don't choose to use that option it broadcasts your gameplay.
... How would it be more competitive?
Here's the thought of the day. If Xbox One actually requires the camera to be there, that means it'll logically be included in the package, no? Meaning the cost of the camera will be included with the system.
If the PS4 doesn't require the camera what would the need be to bundle it in? If it isn't included with the system that takes away some price which in turn would make the PS4 potentially cheaper than ...
You should read up on RFC 1087

Legal actions can be taken because of DDoS attacks. Fake IPs only go so far as well.
I hope not. Sony already has David Jaffe. Not enough room for two arrogant, outspoken people.
Reading that tells me why they shouldn't bother with SR IV, even more why they shouldn't even be thinking about a V.
The trailer is enough to show me. Game looks overly stupid and catered to the average twelve year old.
