Odd, though, that when Microsoft pays crazy money to make a game multi-plat that was formerly exclusive, that franchise suddenly sucks. I don't call that a victory at all.

Yep. After reading these reviews, rental confirmed.
Will be the first FF I won't buy. I even foolishly bought FF X-2.

I'm not very keen on buying a 8 rated multi-plat game right now. Will rent it to see if it catches me.

I actually love Microsoft, and as a patriotic American I'm proud they belong to the USA. They've just not appealed to me at all in their videogame venture. Nothing they've done has given me enough reason to support their consoles or games.
If Natal is the future...well, we'll see. But all I'm reading now is talk, talk, talk, talk.
And this Naughty Dog co-founder and Hideo Kojima's words mean as much as to me as Gabe Newell's when he called the PS3 concept a failure b...
I've NEVER see this on N4G. Perhaps these haters do have a brain, and are not completely blind.

And yet it's not a "GIANT" mistake...give me a break. Nobody is buying Yakuza for the Hostess Club, sorry Kotaku.
12
Me too, but I had hoped we would get the complete game.
12
Me too. Buying day 1.

It's far too late. Adding Blu-Ray would increase the price of the 360 and Microsoft cannot afford to have their console more expensive than Sony's. That would spell a very quick doom. Microsoft will just have to make due, pray, and try their best to be creative with that DVD9
12
....then insta-buy for me.
12
...stop trashing your own work. Lots of people enjoyed it.

AQUAMAN...dude.
Since you're so enlightened because you're not a "fanboy" (I have to assume that you aren't one since you keep calling me one as if I am), allow me to bring you back to earth.
(I bet you're one of those corny dudes who owns all three consoles and therefore you think you have a superior opinion, when it really means you have too little loyalty, poor decision making skills, too much time and no life)
How well did Halo 3 sell this ...
Yo Aquaman. Yeah, I'm going to call you Aquaman because your arguments remind me of the wackest superhero ever.
If you really believe that a game that has sold 2.5 million is making Polyphony sweat, then I think living in a fanboy dream may lead to more intelligence than whatever reality you have.
Polyphony has enough class and respect to speak evenly with its competitors, but don't confuse this respect with fear.
Forza is welcome to try again and again ...
Oh boohoo. Just because 50 million of your payroll was on the bench last season, don't come crying because we use the money better. Oh, and spending all that money on old man Smoltz??? hahahahha...
If you're going to compare Forza to GT, then you better starting having ratings in the high 90's and sales around 15 million.
Based on that comparison, yep, Forza sucked and flopped.
Or do you only want to compare Forza and GT in the areas you wish to compare ...
Shang,
I'm a Yankees fan too so...

Forza devs aren't afraid of the competition, oh we know this. They opened their mouths enough saying the same thing. They have nothing to lose, either. They have no expectations.
And that proves...what?
Would have been better to show more respect and fear imo.
12
P.S. Bottom line is that Sony felt no need or pressure to provide competition to Forza at the time of its release.
Oh yes, we agree it's Forza 3, but for totally different reasons. You're reasoning is because apparently you think Forza 3 is "king" and the GT5 devs were like "oh wow we got nothing close to this".
Oh, alright.
You're dead wrong but you can have your own opinion.
My opinion is that Sony felt no need to push out a reply to Forza 3 as it wasn't worthwhile to do so. Best to sit back, relax, polish things up and release it to no competit...
And yet, Conando, when you go on even the Forza forums, the game is called wack and limited. LOTS of complaints.
2.5 million you say? Interesting. Suddenly this is called a "success" but when PS3 exclusives sell like that, they sell "poorly".
Finally, I don't hear anybody even attempting to compare the two games anymore.
12
When the developers of GT5 saw how the latest Forza sucked and flopped, they delayed the release, knowing they had plenty of time to polish things up now without any threat of losing its fans.
This is the kind of stuff you won't see announced officially. :)
This game is going to be truly "epic" in every sense of the word.

Tester --- You need to figure out that answer for yourself. Franchises that were formerly special and quality are just blah now that they went for Microsoft money. The ones that directly affect me are Devil May Cry, Tekken and now Final Fantasy. They were all delayed and likely gimped to fit the 360.
