Completely disagree with the sixaxis being a "miserable failure". It's good enough for the hardcore gamer without being gimmicky and is a great addition to plenty of Sony exclusives.

No jealousy here Homocide, I think the Wii is stupid and that Natal is stupid too, for the same reasons. I admit to being annoyed that it's being treated by hardcore 360 fans like the 2nd Coming, tho. Either 360 fans really have nothing to play this year or it's getting way too hyped, or both.

There's no shame in calling something what it is. But I daresay that this crap is worse than the above two examples because Microsoft and their media cronies were harping about how this will "change gaming forever" and enter us into "virtual gaming". Whatever indeed.

...Microsoft can't influence EVERY media outlet. There are still going to be people that look at Natal for what it is---that being "not much".
A Wii wannabe device on a system supposedly for mature and hardcore gamers won't cut it, and I'm entirely not surprised that they faked and rushed plenty of the showcase to make up for their otherwise completely lame E3 2009 showing.

Imdaboss has got it right...it's called the American media and the amount of money Microsoft put into it. Microsoft has plenty of writers and tabloids in their payroll.
This isn't evil...it's just good business.
But the result is that dream-ware like Natal is made to be more important than a solid, real, exclusive game from a great developer on the best hardware on the planet.
