Why would it affect PS+ subs if Sony has way more PS4 and PS5 sold that REQUIRES Ps+ to play online?
What? 110M PS4 out there and 18mill PS5 that all Require PS+ to play online. GP wouldn't affect that at all because PS+ is REQUIRED to play online on 2 successful Playstation systems. GP is an optional service, not REQUIRED, but gold is. why can't you see what people are clearly pointing out...It should be compared to the other REQUIR...

See that's the thing, no matter the reason, people who want PS5 are getting antsy and buying Xbox. Situations like this can cause shifts in numbers, so the people who would never buy an Xbox are now buying them to scratch the new-gen itch. If they buy a PS5 when they can, it still equals MS getting a sale they otherwise might not have, hence partly why this gen will be closer than the last.

New PS plus is ok, with some oddities, compare it to GP, and that's where it really starts looking 1/2 baked.

Paid cloud saves.

Premium is monthly more expensive than GP
PS3 game streaming
No day 1 Sony exclusives($70), even though the price point is similar or more expensive than GP.
Sony could make some adjustments by June or announce something else to make it more attractiv...
