I agree. It's a throwback game that is absolutely about gameplay. However, It would be nice to have better graphics and less glitches (from the gameplay videos I've seen).
I do trust Mr. Gaffe and his team. I have a feeling that it was delayed in order to improve graphics. I love the light weight of the cars and the feeling of Twisted Metal 2.
At the end of the day, this is as close to a 'sim' as Super Mario Brothers. It's meant to be...
I totally agree. I might be a little old school, but I definitely prefer solo campaigns for mainly this reason. I've tried online on multiple games, but they just doesn't foster a good environment for new guys to get into.
Also, it seems that more people are concerned with their k/d or win ratio than actually enjoying themselves. After a 12 hour shift, I play to relax. I don't play to get called out by some stranger because somebody better than I had better po...
I know, I was expecting the full list. Does anyone have a link or info on all the aircraft that will be in the game?
Good, thorough review. I've played the demo and think it's enough to warrant the purchase. I alternate every other year with Madden and NCAA, and it's Madden's turn this year. Even though the Vikings will more than likely be bottom-dwellers...
I think that's really cool.
I'm wondering the same thing. I haven't seen any hard specs for the PS3 version. I'm fine with 32 player maps, but are there going to be jets?
That's exactly what I was thinking. This looks like a sequel to Bulletstorm.
Not excited at all... It looks way too cartoony for my taste. My hopes kept dwindling that it would at least resemble Black with the more and more pictures and video released, but that is clearly not the case. There's not even a story to be the least bit attached to.
If you really want to buy it, wait 3 months. It will definitely by hovering around $30 by then.
What's with the random disagree? Looks like you might have a stalker that doesn't think your PS3 works...
That's exactly what I was thinking. If they could get cross play to work on this game and extend the popularity of it on PCs over to the Xbox 360 and/or PS3, that would be a huge win for the publisher. I've never played it though, but my college roommate was always playing it and still swears its one of the best shooters out there.
Hell yeah, thanks! I just picked up Dead Space 2 and Portal 2 for $48 USD. Free shipping on orders over $40; so if you pick up two, it's a steal!
Game looks really good. Any idea when it is coming to the PS3? I haven't seen a release date, ie:IGN has TBD 2011.
That being said, why is an Xbox 360 news release approved for the PS3 page? There is absolutely no mention of the PS3 here. Just because the game is multi-platform, shouldn't mean every article should be posted on all pages.
I wonder how Tebow's rankings stack up against the other TEs, since it doesn't look like he is beating out Orton as starting QB in camp this year...
I can't see this having any staying power. I'd be curious to see how many subscribers they have after a year or two. I agree with Dlacy13g, but I don't think it would be included. That might entice a few more subscribers.
Not sure, but I am looking forward to that one as well. It seems like it keeps getting delayed though.
I was originally hoping for Infamous 2...
I'm going back and forth on KZ3 now. I was hoping it was just the game for half off-something like $25-$30. I don't want to spend $40 and get the extra statue and replica helmet I'll probably just throw away.
After I logged in and got the 'continue shopping recommendations' and saw Dead Space 2 for the same price of $40. I'm thinking of getting that instead.
From Jim Rome:"Camping in Call of Duty is like laying up in Tiger Woods 2011. It's like trying to establish the jab in Mortal Combat"
It's hilarious!
I really want this game to be great, since Black was my second favorite on the PS2 (behind Socom 2).
I really hope they don't half-bake it and give it the treatment of current shooters (regenerating life). Remember running around in Black, half dead, desperately searching for a health pack? If they keep the original formula, I think it will be great. Unfortunately, this one doesn't look as 'dark' as Black was, so it's losing a few points for that.
Sounds awesome. It sounds like they are trying to mix in Heavy Rain or Infamous with a FPS. It would be nice to see consequences to the decisions made in games Army of Two: 40th Day tried, but there weren't any real consequences nor did it have alternate storylines.
I really hope they keep the split screen co-op. I've spent many Saturday afternoons with my buddy, drinking beer and killing terrorists in R6V and R6V2.
*Jaffe...my bad
