I spent over 100 hours in that game and still absolutely love it! it's one of the few games that I've put that much time into without getting burnt out on it.
At least these guys are online. I'd tolerate these glitches if I could at least play online. I've tried probably 50 times over the last week. I've been able to play a total of 7 matches, three of which I was kicked out of. So, biggest fail so far imo: Sony.
I wasn't thinking about it until now... I have MLB 10: The Show and really enjoy it. Does anyone think the upgrades are significant enough for a purchase? Besides the fact the my Twins roster will be a significant downgrade...
I agree. I like the game, but it's not that great. I wish there were more modes for singleplayer. I don't like that you have to play online in order to receive cash to purchase cheats/players/stadiums.
Also, I can't figure out how to change the settings so you can select receivers with x/o/triangle. I changed it in the settings, but it only changed it for player 1.
Overall, I might give it a slightly better grade of 8/10 due to old school, fas...
There is that awkward moment after the play where you want to hit the other guy, but can't. Other than that, I think they really stayed true to the experience I remember, with updated graphics and online vs modes. I really enjoy the game and would recommend it.
I like the blue. Does anyone know when the app will be on the Android market?
I picked up DiRT 3 for $15 during Best Buy's after Thanksgiving sale, and I couldn't be happier. I wanted it all year, but I'm not big into racing games so I couldn't justify the high price. This game is a lot of fun and I love the various races and gymkhana events.
Sounds pretty sweet, I can't wait! I wonder if they'll have a preorder bonus, since it's a DL game. Any word on pricing, $15 I would assume?
It had moments of brilliance, but it fell short imo. They turned dogfighting and air-to-ground attacks into quick time events. It almost felt like I was on rails too much... I think a 7.5 is fitting score for it. Great in some areas, but fell short overall.
Does anyone know if this is a downloadable game or a full disc? I'd prefer a full disc, and it'd be a day one purchase.
As opposed to Madden and the obvious over-the-top gameplay, I want smooth gameplay and announcers. In Madden 12, I get Collensworth talking about up my QB, as I'm running 80 yards with Adrian Peterson. During the XP, I get Gus Johnson trying to get excited about the 80 yd td i ran 14 seconds ago!
I wank Blitz 2k, with liquid ...
I've been contemplating picking up an Xbox 360 solely for Gears of War, as I'm a huge TPS fan and all my friends talk it up. I hope it follows that line when he creates a TPS for the PS3.
Unfortunately, they haven't yet. Are any of these big name PS2 classics? I don't recognize any of them. Where is Socom II? That game would sell a million copies, so I'm thinking there is some disagreement with the publishers here.
I actually thought the game deteriorated as it went on. I liked the hack and slash and the island feel. As the game progressed, it went to the city and then the jungle with a focus more on gun play and taking out corrupt civilians, as opposed to zombies.
Good game though, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was enjoyable, but you could rent it and have just as much fun. The story goes downhill and it gets pretty lame after the first act...
@NBT91: That's cool, thanks for the info! I was a little disappointed in the BF3 SP campaign, so I maybe I'll redbox COD for a weekend and run through it in my free time.
Agree. I didn't buy it, but I didn't write an article on it either. If people like it, sweet, good for you. If not, don't buy it and move on.
I definitely think it's a huge selling point.
I think he forgot the Ace Combat DLC. It's advertised on the main menu of the game as coming out tomorrow. Did something happen where it got delayed? Does anyone know if it's free or how much it costs? I think it's just two new skins and one new aircraft.
Yeah, you're right. I thought this was more cinematic than previous titles though.
I believe he's right, this is the best snowboarding game out today. There are so many different runs, the graffics are great and the gameplay is extremely fluid. I love that you can race and to trick attack on the deadly descent courses. That's when it gets insane!
It's hard, but that adds to the replay value. The online isn't great (you play against ghosts of other players), so don't expect much out of that portion.
