I totally agree. I just had this conversation with a buddy at the bar last night. He's a die-hard COD guy and I lean more towards BF. At the end of the day, we're all humans with different tastes. It's great to have both options available for whatever floats your boat.
I love more SP focused fps'. I really cannot wait until the new Rainbow 6 comes out, since the Sp/offline co-op was phenomenal in Vegas 1 & 2.
I thought the storytelling was pretty good. A little predictable for the most part, but it significantly aided the missions. I could do without the Russians that you obviously don't trust from the first mission on.
If you look at the alternative, with no story, one minute you're in a F-22, then an Apache, then an AC-130, then an F-16. It would be too blotchy without it.
Great game, I would definitely recommend it. Not without it's faults, but ...
Hell yeah, I loved this game back in the day! I hope they add some mini-games and don't try to make it too realistic. I'm glad it's EA so we can have officially licensed teams and players. Madden is getting stale, and this should be spice things up a bit.

What is Spec 2.0? Is that a major update, DLC or an separate GT?
Everyone raves about it based on graphics, and I wanted to pick up Crysis 2 on the PS3 (I have a crappy PC). Would you recommend it based on gameplay alone, or mainly graphics? Graphics aren't a make-or-break for me, I prefer smooth gameplay with an intriguing story. Would you recommend it based on the gameplay?
I think the cool part about the Infamous DLC, is that it's stand-alone and we don't need to have the original to get the add-on. I haven't picked up Infamous 2 yet, but love Infamous. I think this DLC looks great!
What type of game is God of Hand? I've never heard of it.
I was also skeptical about the Heavy Rain claim earlier this month. Do you think I am Alive is just a smaller title and that's the reason for it being download only?
From the previrew, I was hoping for a similar experience to UC2. I just don't see that happening with a PSN/XBLA title, as it's probably a smaller file size than a retail disc. I'll wait for some reviews to pop up before passing judgement though...

Just watched the video and it looks like they will be MP maps. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to add MP only maps to a flight action game, when most of the intensity is occurring far above the landscape. Especially when the landscape is [insert metropolis here]. It'd sweet if the dlc map was like the Grand Canyon, Himalayas or something with terrain like that.
This is simply a press release, not really an article. I've got it preordered through Amazon.com and can't wait! I hope the dlc isn't solely focused on the multiplayer aspect. It would be really cool if the two new maps included additional SP missions.
I was thinking the same thing. Gus Johnson's at his best when he's smooth. He still has a perfect voice for the game, but it's far to choppy for me.
The save system is terrible! Why can't I manually save a game? They could even have save locations that you have to reach so you can save. You're pretty much at the mercy of whenever that small save icon shows up, and half the time I miss it.
Or, like Just Cause 2, you can manually save anytime and it auto-saves every time you inch closer to the 100% completion.

This game looks so cool! I haven't preordered yet (waiting my $20 madden credit from amazon.com to kick in after it ships), but it's definitely a Day 1 purchase.
Although different generations, I've been playing the hell out of IL-2 Sturmovik (sp?) on the PS3 in anticipation for this game. I can't wait!
