They've pushed that game like crazy ever since it was announced in 2013. That doesn't mean the game is coming out sooner simply because they're advertising the hell out of it.
Can I ask why 7th-gen games would make you buy an 8th-gen. console? Don't get me wrong, I too and looking forward to playing Bioshock Infinite (got it via GWG but haven't broken out the X360 to play it yet), but if you already have those titles, they probably shouldn't be what you're waiting on.
Mass Effect could never have the verticality of, say, Halo 5. This isn't a knock against ME or an unnecessary praise for H5 -- they're just two very different types of games, with two very different goals.
I'm more than excited to see how both of them turn out, as they're both two of my top 5 franchises, but I have a hard time seeing them being very similar outside of the SciFi genre.
Oh FFS!
"Microsoft may be doing a slightly better job of having exclusive games and features, but only barely, and only because they have to in order to have a prayer of catching Sony."
Yeah, Rare Replay, Fable Legends, Gears of War: Ultimate, Forza Motorsport 6, Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider... Yeah, "only barely".
Biggest TR base? That's PC breh.
Square Enix can go to Gamescom but Sony can't? WTF
Every time someone copy/pasted a link to listwar (or the list itself) the inevitable review(s) of 50% of those games were all I could think of.
I expect now they'll start omitting this from the copy/paste list.
Author definitely re-engauged me in the later parts of the article. Statues (and as #1 said, physical art books) are what interest me. Of the Limited Edition games I've gotten, the only ones I haven't regretted are my Halo 3 Legendary (Mark V helmet + making of DVD), and the Collector's Edition of Skyrim (Alduin Statue + Making of DVD + 200pg leather-bound art book).
Of the LE's that I have regretted, Dead Space 2 is #1 on that list. When they said we'd g...
A quote from this man: "Video games are meant to be just one thing. Fun. Fun for everyone"
Yes they are, Iwata. Yes they are. This industry owes you a lot. Probably more than we know. Thank you for what you brought to the world.
It's a great year to be an Xbox fan, and even moreso to be a Halo fan. This Holiday is gonna be ridiculous in the best way possible!
"Sony begins PSN and expands with cross-platform play which Microsoft now appears to be looking into."
Microsoft has featured cross-platform play on a case-by-case basis for several, several years - just like Sony started to.
"Sony also standardized HDDs in every console. "
Aaaactually, the OG Xbox says hello. Sony didn't get on the HDD bandwagon until the PS3, which was 6 years after Xbox was shipping with them. Not s...

You can't be serious... Like, you /seriously/ have to be joking with this entire piece -- and with your direct response to me.
"You do remember when the wii outsold every other console, right? Selling well does not equate to good for the industry."
You do remember that the Wii clearly had very little impact on the industry outside of itself, right? Selling well did not equate to the Xbox One nor the PS4 going after "...

"Is The New Xbox Elite Controller A Mistake?"
Oh yeah, such a terrible mistake that it is currently sitting pretty as a #1 Seller on Amazon. The downplaying is real, and it's pathetic.
@2.1.1
With a username like that, I wouldn't expect anything less out of you. GG.
So Sony's December is okay because they have marketing deals for a game that releases in September and two that release in November? -- all of which are releasing on every other console.
What are you on about?
The issue there? I wouldn't be playing on my console, which is the entire point of everything I mentioned.
Streaming to Windows is no-doubt an amazing feature, but what would really be game-changing IMO would be streaming /from/ Windows. Obviously everything wouldn't work due to the difference in control inputs, but the majority of games that release today do feature gamepad support, so that's a plus.
If this becomes a thing, I'd be unreasonably happy. :)
And now that we all have 5+ more bubbles, we're going to have to put up with a LOT more of this crap... Oh joy...
Sony isn't attending. They announced this months ago.

A big difference that a lot of people are attempting to ignore and/or underplay.
Having demos on the show floor are nice for people who are going hands-on, but if you're a Sony fan, and you're /not/ in Cologne in 36hrs, you're SOL.
