WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?
This isn't even NEAR OFFENSIVE. This level doesn't even contain any copyrighted material, nor does it borrow from any outside published work. Azure Palace is one of the best user created levels to ever exist, and to have this happen is a gross oversight one someone's part when it comes to dealing with moderation.
Jesus Christ, do you even pay attention to what you are commenting on? At least watch the video, for crying out loud! ...
Resistance 2 had great graphics in most locations considering the scope of the levels. Sure they had to make some compromises, but there are a lot of games with graphical shortcomings in some way or another.
You'll never appreciate this game, so quit trying to sound objective on the matter. The fact of the matter is, you don't own a PS3, and yet are in an article about a PS3 exclusive game, in which the author defends it with logic. It doesn't matter if he's yelling or "acting immature"; hell, what do you think you're doing? You call him a fanboy, and then proceed to bash the game. Do you see the irony in this whole situation? Probably not...
Go play Gears of War. I'm sure ...
It looks like it controls really well. Also, this looks way better than Call of Duty 4 in terms of overall atmosphere and gameplay immersion. I also like the fact that you get knocked out but you have time to revive yourself if a medic comes along, but the window of opportunity is only a few seconds.
Little Big Planet came out on the 28th of October, and Resistance 2 came out on November 4th, which doesn't even count for October's numbers. How can people say that these games didn't do anything for the PS3's sales, when they only JUST came out a few weeks ago (and at the end of the month, no less)?
Actually, he was comparing the value of the PS3's features to what you would have to buy if you wanted a comparable XBOX 360; so in a way he is still on-topic.
Those cheap Blu-Ray players are nothing when compared to the PS3's playback capability.
edit: I just realized that a lot of these anti-PS3 articles come from Gameplayer.au. They must have some sort of journalistic fanboy agenda here or something...
You hit the nail on the head
That is the best response to someone like this. Bubbles for you.
These reviewers are more than content to give Gears of War and Halo 3's story a free pass.
Oh, can't forget about COD 4's sh1t single player. 6 hour single player game? WTF.
I love how each piece of the broken wall has its own physics and weight. Simply amazing...
I think fanboys of any system can attest to the stupidity of Mesh1's comments.
Apparently, the game keeps saving your data while you're stuck in the glitch. You exit out of the game, and you aren't able to control anything with controller 1. If you watch towards the end of the video, you can see what I mean by that.
I just hope the gameplay isn't shallow. Like GaffyH stated, I hope there's more to it than just running from room to room killing random enemies and using cover. The art direction is cool though - it has a sort of "gothic" look to it when it pertains to the architecture.
I'm keeping my eye on this game to see what Tecmo can do with it. They're not exactly known for making shooters, after all...
I wonder if he's referring to his mom? You know... she's a bit "looser" after everyone gets done with her?
Everyone needs to e-mail or message Media Molecule, either through the game or the website. They have to know about this problem.
Thankfully, it's something that requires a rather excessive setting to achieve, but it's still jacked that it happens, regardless of the effects that go into level making. I would have thought that they would have tested this speed effect on your character in the beta; obviously enough people know about the speed setting to make it happen.
That's a nice set of bubbles you have there, Juuken!
The movement physics need tightening up a bit, so that your jumping doesn't feel as "floaty", and the Z-Axis switching can be more "fluid". I just practiced with it a bit though, and things are nearly second nature to me.
BTW, when did you get at PS3, Mart? I thought you said that you would never buy one until they came out with the white model?
BTW, how's that XBOX reliability treating its consumer base?
Oh wait, silly me! That's Microsoft!
