For most people who have no idea what the system does, many only view the system as a great Blu-Ray player. A guy that I work with said that his friend's parents bought his friend a PS3, but all he ever does is watch Blu-Ray movies on it. He owns a 360 and says that his gaming needs are more than satisfied with the system.

So what are you saying? That you don't think that the 360 has problems? Or that the fact that your PS3 broke down is even more amazing?
Well, considering that from the original game, Resistance 2 makes a larger improvement than Gears 2, that's true.
Then again, most people don't want to think about that. They want what's best for hits on their website.
They manage to use their "intellectual" writing ability to mask the fact that they prefer gaming on the 360 over anything else. Don't let their clever verbiage and adjectives fool you; they're as biased as the rest of the media.
You have to wonder why, though.
Just look at my point above. Do you really think that the 10/10 for Halo 3 was justified? I sure as hell don't, and that's coming from someone who played the hell out of the first Halo.
The fact that Insomniac managed to accomplish so much, and then get bashed for it because they "did too much", is ridiculous. The Insomniac crew managed to live up to their promises that they came up with pre-launch, which was a "bigger, ...
I exposed EDGE for the phonies they are, and someone didn't like it.
I'll just say this, however: This is highly an unfair review, considering they gave Halo 3 a 10/10 and that game plays it as safe as can be when compared to previous games in the series.

The 360 has a pad that's set on a rotating mechanism, instead of the equally separated "cross" design on the PS pad. Infinitely more responsive and precise that way, IMO (the Playstation design).
The PS pad has its own set of annoyances, but I've been using it for so long, it's second nature to me to feel comfortable when playing on it.
For how much Halo 3 was hyped, the story, especially the ending, really was a big let down. You get to the end, thinking it's just another cinematic, and then the credits roll. Games these days need to have a more satisfying reason to finish them. Fallout 3 is really guilty of this, which is why I haven't beat it yet. I've been going around doing all the side missions and exploring the wasteland, but I haven't actually finished the main story mission yet.
