I agree with you and gave an additional example to help support your argument. Just because someone does this doesn't mean its not beneficial to the game they're working on. Or a waste of time.

I'm not saying MS doesn't pay for it but its just as likely they don't. The reason I say that is because not only does it entice people who are already going to buy Star Wars to do so digitally which is good for EA. It also could cause people who originally planned on not playing the game to try it again (or for the first time) and change there mind.

Whats nice is if you use a code for free EA access or anything or that matter when the month or whatever the deal is for ends you aren't auto renewed. That's how most companies would approach it to try and get something in return. That's a great move by MS.

As an excercise to get a better understanding of the next gen consoles Bethesda did a fallout 3 remaster for the X1. It's not getting released but like any profession you have to hone your skill by practicing. Lots of times things like this are how these guys do that.

I would have been much happier with 900p up scaled on the X1 rather than performance issues. Perhaps its the devs, but I feel the gaming community on both sides has this insane (and false IMO) belief that if its not 1080p its bad. I have a 4k TV and the 900p X1 games look as amazing as my 1080p PS4 games. If that weren't the case we wouldn't have to wait for DF to do an analysis to know if there are differences. Performance over resolution!

If you beat TR in 12 hours you will be missing out on things. I beat the first one it 19 hours and collected almost everything.

A little comparison for you BMW sells more cars than Lexus. But every year less is rated the best car on the planet. Sales only mean so much.

Indie hasn't been a PC exclusive thing for years. The X360 was doing indies when it launched in 2005. Summer of arcade was awesome.

Forza 6 is a commercial and critical success, and Halo is killer even with a short campaign.

All of 10 people played Bloodborne which is a clone of Demon Souls. Its a guarantee more people will be playing halo 5 years from now. The same cant be said about bloodborne.

The only people that hate on the X1 are people that don't plan on purchasing one. Its impossible for all owners of a product to love it, but most owners are extremely happy with it.

That's how big of a franchise Halo is. When Halo launches people don't just buy the game, they buy everything associated with it. Bundles, controllers, headsets, merchandise. Kind of reminds me of starwars....

Don't worry Sony might one day have a franchise like that.
