and un-affordable in todays climate. Thats just BAD BUSINESS.
nintendo still sells wiiu at a loss, even with its 'modest' specs. so that should tell you something. its not 'cheap' or throw away old tech.
obviously the more 'powerful' nintendo made it, the more expensive it would cost to make, the greater the loss they sell it at, the more it would cost you to purchase. ultimately, the bigger the risk of not returning a profit.

i dont have a lot of money to spend on games, never have. neither do i like spending what money i have on games. so when i buy a game, i have to know with the most confidence as possible, that the game i bought is not total garbage.
i used to buy games magazines, a few each month lol so i have always been 'in the know' of what is considered a good game or not. the internet makes it easier to judge a game.
i can honestly say, i have almost never been d...
lol why do people talk as if the frame rates are so bad on wiiu, anyone would think we are talking about a slideshow or something. you only need 24frames per second to create the illusion of movement
i personally have bought/not bought games on the strength of their reviews alone, since they do not compromise or pander to popular opinion with their reviews.
in any case though, if there is a game i really like the look or sound of, i would buy it regardless.
by the sound of it (not judging by this review alone) fifa 13 on wiiu was most likely rushed to meet launch
if you want to play wii games then the mini is good
its actually really great for somebody who just wants to play the games at a cheap price.
a gaming session will be two hours max, in one sitting. unless you are totally 'hardcore' and spend all day infront of the console.
if you are 'hardcore' and use the wiiu for over 3 hours, then you could, i dont know... PLUG THE CONTROLLER IN!!?
if you know you are going to be playing for hours, obviously you plug the thing in.
the industry advise you only play games an hour at a time, with a half-hour break, right? pl...
wish these so called journalists would learn about computer architecture before they get pen/keyboard happy and publish this garbage
if you want unlimited time with the game, you could, um... BUY IT!
boring now
nintendos goal was to produce a console with as low power consumption as possible. the wiiu obviously reflects that in its 'modest' spec sheet. doesnt mean its rubbish though. the numbers on the spec sheet are deceiving.
it was designed to be as efficient as possible, so the architecture is more important than high clock speeds etc.
proof of this truth can be found in all wiiu games out there on release day- they are either on par with, or outperform ...
sounds fair. scientific even
easy
whatever the case, it STILL is able to run games better than ps3 or 360. so the low clock speed is irrelevant, the architecture is obviously better.
check the assassins creed comparison for visual confirmation of wiius very clear power advantage.
plus, even if the console did have inferior tech, the games that will come out on wiiu from nintendo, will blow away most, if not all exclusives on ps4/720. dont believe me? even the original wii had exclusives that ...
the wiiu is here
