just gives the impression of lack of creative control.
how can a game with random items and enemies be good? scares dont happen by accident, tension doesnt occur by chance. not in entertainment, anyway. it is created.
ie, at this specific corner, accompanied by this certain music, this event occurs. that is a controlled and deliberate event. randomising it destroys that level of creative control
i think its just laziness on capcoms part. they...
wiiu does need a price cut. not purely to make it sell better, but because i dont think anybody values it at its current price.
it markets itself as a 'next gen' console from a spec standpoint, but the games dont show that. so of course people will look at the wiiu at its current price as a rip off.
it needs at least an 80pound price cut
different angle
i dont like the look of it, if im honest. it does look 'cheap'.. like a 3rd party controller
the market is changing. the high street is changing. in uk at least. its simply vanishing!
nintendo's wiiu simnply isnt getting seen on the high street, there is no awareness, because what space there is on the shelves, is kept for the already established consoles, ps3, wii, 360 and handhelds. wiiu doesnt get a look in.
i dont think it is a problem related to nintendo, but a problem the whole industry faces.
at least nintendo get to control whats published this way
...
come e3 there will be nothing new to show
the market wasnt ready.
but nintendo could have prevented the media backlash by having some games in place for the first half of 2013 lol
they should have secured more 3rd party support.
pikmin should have had a release date of around march
they should have secured exclusivity for rayman, since it was the only big game due to come out early in 2013 and was a game many wiiu owners were getting ready to brag about
lol it baffles me how nintendo ushered in the 'motion revolution' with wii, only to abandon it the very next gen.
will the next zelda use the wiimote and nuinchuck, or is it back to the 'oldskool' using the control pad. or will nintendo exploit the new wiiu controllers screen.
it makes me think nintendo dont have any real vision for the future, only offering a new gimmick every gen.
in the uk people simply dont have the money. the christmas period just finished and people arent thinking of blowing 300 on anything. people are saving for holidays.
in april, i think the wiiu will bounce back. nintendo have NEVER relied on 3rd party support. they have always drip fed gamers. nintendo always end up doing well.
also, gamers have grown up, they have jobs so can buy more software. so of course you will be aware when there is no new releases. wh...
i dont own a wiiu because there are no games on the system i want.
pikmin may change my mind if the reviews are good.. if not, the day that xenoblade game will be out is the same day i buy a wii.
oh, and if windwaker hd comes out before then, i will buy it then.
@reverent
link doesnt have to be white, and neither do hyrulians have to be white. hyrule isnt walled in, is it. it isnt the only place in the zelda universe.
in wind waker, there were other islands. why couldnt the other islanders be of a different race? why isnt there any multiculturalism?
if hyrule is accessible to other islanders and races, then hyrules inhabitants would change over time. ie, it may become more 'black' or asian...
yeh, why does destiny always give the master sword to a white boy?
why cant link be black?
in fact, why cant anyone in any nintendo game be black? the only black character in a nintendo game i can think of is a boxer in punchout. and he was stereotypically black ie a dj/dancer/cool guy
lol the wiiu has only launched, there are 'only' a couple of million wiiu owners in the uk at the moment. of course software sales are low.
i lost around 8 virtual console games when my wii died. i didnt make a fuss to nintnedo about it, although maybe i should.
i simply dont download their software anymore.
nintendo know damn well this is a problem, they know damn well it would be better for everyone to have a system where your purchases are available to access from hardware via one account.
think about it though, in 'real life', if your disc is damaged through a fault ...
the ps4s main selling point will be the ps4 logo on the console.
time and time again people prove they dont care what sony reveal or announce, they will support it blindly.
heck, people have committed to a 'day 1 buy' without any details of the console at all.
the console could have the innards of a 1980s calculator and the fanboys would hype it up
its a nintendo exclusive and that wont ever change.
nintendo are not microsoft or sony, they wont sell their software for other platform owners to enjoy,. its their asset so they will keep it on their hardware.
just buy a wiiu
its not a system seller. it would have been a great asset as a wiiu exclusive.
all that bs talk ubisoft gave about the benefits of it being on wiiu only make them look like fools.
nintnedo fans can live without this games exclusivity, after all, nintendo are the undisputed champions of the platformer
sony say the main selling point WONT be the specs, and they translate that as- the specs will be awesome.
this to me definitely sounds like sony arent focusing on specs ie like nintendo arent.
but when sony say it (right from the horses mouth) it somehow doesnt mean the same thing.
you wait when the ps4 is unveiled and its not the powerhouse people expected.. they will justify it and sing its praises.
people are are total del...
but isnt there an element of suspense? they know they have an audience waiting for the final verdict, so in the previews they dont give away if the game is good or not, they just report the facts.
that is what the previews are for- facts. giving you info about the game.
the review is for opinions. the review is where you are given an opinion on the game.
the games media usually create a narrative for each game, from its announcement, through ...
