Show the community(ies) gameplay — we rip it apart. Show the same community(ies) just a trailer, they negatively speculate. I watched a lot of E3 via Twitch, my god the chat box was a stream of negativity. The press doesn’t help either with their hot take articles.
My theory is that they’ll be ready to release the new consoles in 2020...which why they’ll be released then. My second theory is that the systems will release during the holiday season. My observations have me concluding that a lot of people shop during that particular part of the year.
These comment sections smfh... This IS NOT an MCU continuation story, it is its own story. They will not look like the MCU characters because they're not the MCU characters. Think about how much money it would cost to use RDJ likeness. Hawkeye will be included later, along with many others (which they mentioned). There is no $$ needed for DLC stories/characters, there is no pay-to-win. Stop looking for Sh!+ to complain about.
@indysurfn
I really like your tinfoil hat; did you buy it or make it yourself?
Just watched the EA Play Conference, the Anthem mention was laughable.
This game is dead, and it hurts...When will Bioware stop hurting its fan base?
Read the article, the points above still stand.
81BX, your comment: short; but pointless.
Not mine, but so...so...so many others
Weapons/components, etc. are fine. I’m irritated that I haven’t earned one armor/cosmetic blueprint in 70+ hrs of gameplay.
This follows the long history of EA's poor business decisions. They buy the developer, acting like the label alone will be the reason for high sales; while ignoring/losing the people/operations that made the developer successful prior to EA's acquisition. I have said it before: EA's focus is strong profits, and using games to try and get there. EA needs to focus on strong games, to make profits.
@SurgicalMenace
I disagreed, gave rationale, and accurately described my opinion w/o being viscous towards the review. I will do more than Agree or Disagree; I'll take me stance and explain. Thank you.
So, the "arbitrary number" is a rating scale, we use rating scales in several aspects of life. Some people look at the number and have an understanding of what it means in comparison to other similar games. For you, it seems like you would like to go deeper, so read the article or several articles.
For me, I rated the game a 7/10 because it is entertaining, the NPCs are interesting to listen to, and the story is not as gripping/intense (so far) when compared to ot...
I have been enjoying the game, I have put about 60hrs into Anthem according to my achievements tracker. The combat is great, and I find the NPC to be interesting. With that said, this game is not a 9/10, at best I would give it a 7.5/10 and that is really pushing it. This is a click bait article.
My brother has an original Xbox One; I watched him play Anthem on his system...looked like the wheels were falling off... GL and best wishes to those affected.
Well said and agreed
I have played over 30 hours. I am taking the time to listen to characters (like you would in mass effect), reading emails (like you would in mass effect), and finding items for more information.
Where the game hurts is how fractured the gameplay and majority of the story are. Mass Effect and Dragon Age wove story into action beautifully. We lose that at the expense of multiplayer most likely.
The 10 hr trial had people mashing through the story, and rush...
Ah...I see your challenge, you see metaphors as black'n'white. That's OK though; Idioms, puns, metaphors/similes are not for everyone -- a speech-path can help you with that though.
ME2, then went back to play ME1.
