my old 5750 would whoop ass on my even older 8800GTX which would spank on the 7950gtx.
and it would use less power and generate less heat as well as be %50 smaller.
its just how it progresses.
and to that i would say it wouldnt generate much heat at all.
gpus that outperform and outclass the gpu in the ps3 can be had in half heigh...

it should do ok minus tesselation.
that was one of the limiting factors of ati's 1st gen tesselators, they were very very slow.
with 2nd gen 6x series the problem is still in performance but not to the extent of the 5 series.
