the 360 is delivering that ideal. and not 9 months late, either!
yep, core is actually UPGRADEABLE with Xbox 360 hardrives and wirelss pads, unlike the cruddy $500 version of the PS3.
(speaking of which, no one is going to buy all the $500 versions- people will wait for more $600 versions instead of being ripped off for their half-grand investment)
PS3 doesn't have the developer support of the 360 either because of the vast costs of developing for PS3, coupled with developers having to provide their own servers for online play (MS provides free connection to their huge Live servers for online 360 play).
We now see games being cancelled and developers having problems getting multi-platform games to run properly on PS3 development units.
lol
they plan on selling more PS2's than PS3's...
they cant sell more at launch than they have produced, so yes, we can estimate sales
i don't see how sony can catch up with that
i wonder how severe cell failure problems will impact their launch as well, people are going to be extra mad after they drop $700 for a game and a console only to have it die. the 80% failure on the cell yields makes me think a lot of systems may have problems...
so we can estimate that by christmas 2006 2-3 million PS3 will be sold and 12-13 million 360's
wow
that is a pretty vast gap.
1- Sony would have to give something for free to their customers. Sony hate their customers.
2- Unless Microsoft do it first, Sony don't want to do it.
;)
first to 10 million, wasn't that what Bill Gates said?
MS have already sold more than 5 MILLION, AND ITS ONLY JULY!
expect 8-10 million 360's sold by the years end. Putting PS3 firmly into 2nd or 3rd (depending on the wii's) place.
PS3 sales by christmas: 4 million
360 sales by christmas: 8 million
just going by the sales forcasts....
the one where sony are scam artists, and numbskulls like you suck it up?
oops, i meant Playstation H.U.B, not J.O.K.E... it's easy to mix them up.
&&you mean the one that developers have to pay for and host?
yeah, that won't suck.
Sony need a unified, closed network like Live, and they aren't capable of producing and maintaing one. Developers will make you pay, either through a subscription or with higher PS3 game costs or in-game advertising.

now hush
i second that, the next wave are looking just crazy. stuff never before seen on a console, like Gears... this is next gen!
where the hell are sony anyway, they are missing the party!
yes, it does, we can download, play trial games for free and purchase if we want to. its a fantastic service for a gamer, and it says a lot about Microsoft's online service.
and the PS3 online service?
J.O.K.E
War-devil is 360 also
and several of those PS3 games are looking like second rate PS2 titles...
9 are 360 games!
lol
and you want to pay $600 and $75 for games?
ummm
War-devil is on 360
Assasins Creed is on 360
Resident Evil 5 is on 360
Army Of Two is on 360
oh wait, in fact all the good games you listed were!
okay, well the 360 will be the first to 20 million because of its huge lead.
big difference there.
