To be honest this is a fantastic article, and there are many website owners whom I've spoken with on this subject. There are some really great mods on N4G, but at the same time if you are not part of th`e "agenda" you do not get supported, posts get railroaded, and rules that are very vague, and arbitrary are put in motion.
I don't have an issue with N4G, but if many sites are saying the same thing, then at some point there needs to be some self reflection. ...

This is a good piece. I think this is less about Microsoft as is more about "Cloud" technology growth. Autodesk is literally talking about development of 3D assets in the cloud. That is huge by itself. The acknowledgement of where gaming is going as it pertains to the "Cloud" is pretty clear. So yes there are obstacles, but entire industries outside of gaming are tackling them.
"Cloud" gaming is more than likely a year away. It'll be interest...

With the Playstation 4 camera in high demand, and in some places price gauging for it on hand. Kinect being bundled with the Xbox One was always a wise decision.
Further more anyone with any knowledge of the history of the gaming industry should know that adoption for add-on devices never pans out unless direct support is made mandatory.

The Xbox 360 was home to a huge library of variety indie games. Where the community could go to a dedicated channel, and vote for indie games to be available. Games like Dishwasher Vampire & Charlie Murder. I was just playing both last night. I wouldn't be surprised if many of those developers are now part of ID@Xbox. Speaking with many of them. Microsoft offers tons of support to indies.
